Our local gem! This pub has everything you could ask for ? delicious food with generous portions, a really welcoming atmosphere, and a team who always make you feel right at home. It?s a proper family-friendly spot where children (and dogs!) are just as welcome as the grown-ups, which makes it a go-to place for us.
On top of that, the live music events are brilliant ? great bands, a lively but relaxed vibe, and always something to look forward to on the calendar. Whether you?re popping in for a meal, a drink, or an evening of entertainment, you?re guaranteed a great time. Couldn?t recommend it more highly!

We worked near here and ended up visiting most days after work. The pizzas were quality and the Roast are really tasty and big portions. If your ever working at the airbase be sure to visit the diplomat.The staff are warm and welcoming

Having spotted signs on the main road and looking for a place to stop for lunch, we most certainly weren?t disappointed. The Diplomat was a gem of a find. Fantastic food, great value, dog friendly, gluten free options and a warm welcome! The whole place was clean and tidy - just wish we lived nearer as we?d certainly return.
