From ringing to book the accommodation to checking out the customer service was excellent. Jamie on reception was extremely helpful finding us a room to suit our needs which we were very grateful for and Acer in the restaurant was very helpful and friendly. In fact all the staff were very attentive , polite and friendly, so thank you , it made our stay extremely enjoyable and we will certainly return!

Review for meal only
First member of staff was rude to be blunt when asked for more menus , asked for water never turned up , second member of staff was better but the attitude of the first set the tone.
Food wise it was Ok , squid was fantastic but to be expected in this area.
Olives and samphire sub par , pork T bone ok but a bit fatty and had better.
Bean salad was good , the Apricit crumble was the best part of the meal.
Given the reputation I expected better , price point was ok for what we had but fish platter was 3x the cost of the one I had in Wells the day before
Not sure I would eat here again a couple of other options in the village to try and compare on our next visit
3.5 out of 5 as a personal opinion but couldn?t put down the half star

Had a great, unplanned lunch of Fish and chips. Was superb and served by our wonderful waitress, Megan. Couldn?t ask for more, good food, great weather and friendly polite staff. Thank you Megan

The squid is to die for, would highly recommend. Third time we have been, Lisa is fabulous and remembered what drinks we had! We were served by Acer and Lisa both were incredible and made the experience very memorable!

I should mention that we were served for our meal by Acer, he was great at making us feel welcomed and appreciated as guests. The Hoste excelled at being welcoming and friendly whilst feeling high quality in all aspects. It is also very dog friendly! There were other areas for dogless people which were naturally separate. Overall, a very memorable and lovely place.

Really enjoyed our stay at the The Hoste with its welcoming staff, very comfortable bedrooms and great food. Also enjoyed our visits to nearby Brancaster and Holkham beaches for great walks.

First time visiting the area and this hotel so I rang reception to ask some questions about the rooms and location prior to booking. Straight away they were helpful and friendly. Really easy to park. Efficient and friendly check in process. Nice guests only area in the restaurant with a coffee machine and board games. Room was a great size. Lovely double shower and super king bed with AC. Plus a small outdoor terrace. Very easy to get the coastline 36 bus which stops directly outside the hotel on the green and takes you along the coast. We did the Norfolk coast walk which was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. Really good selection of cereals, pastries etc and also an a la carte menu with lovely options. Would definitely recommend.

Came here for a wedding and stayed two nights. Had food for the wedding and the evening, both were amazing and service great. Couldn?t fault the wedding service, surroundings are lovely. Only feedback is more bar service on the front bar when busy but would like to call out Dan for being a great barman during the busy periods!

We visited the Hoste for our wedding anniversary, it was our first visit there and we'll definitely be returning.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the room we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable. With some very thoughtful little bits that made the stay extra special. The food was excellent, I can't find fault with any meal we had. The hand-made, white chocolate and coconut truffles were especially good.
But it was the little things that made the difference. The real china cups and cut glasses in the room rather than plastic. The coffee and tea in the residents lounge. Little things that they could get away with removing to make a bit more profit, but they don't so that the guest has a nicer stay. It really pushed this hotel to the top of the pile for me.
