Went to Socius on the advice of friends and wow we weren't disappointed. The idea of sharing plates is not our kind of thing but the plates at Socius are perfect for sharing and oh so tasty, we may be converts.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service, it was even more of a treat sitting at the ?Chefs Table?, watching the chefs prepare the dishes and even taking the time to speak to us was special. I?ve been a few times now and it?s always been flawless.

I booked a table but sadly had to cancel due to illness. This was done via their email early morning on the day of the reservation - never have I not turned up to a restaurant as personally I find this to be rude and disrespectful. It was therefore with utter dismay that £50 was taken from my account as a cancellation fee! When speaking with the manager she had no time to listen, she just said it was policy, end of the matter. The lack of understanding and empathy speaks volumes. We are so incredibly upset and disappointed and as much as I don't like to leave a bad review, it is wholly justified on this occasion.

Wonderful food, in a beautiful modern restaurant, using simple mixes of ingredients that work really well to provide flavours that we hadn't experienced before. The structure of the menu allows for sharing or keeping your own dishes, depending on your mindset. But all are cooked excellently. And I can even say that for the dishes we didn't have as we sat at the Kitchen Table watching the chefs prepare all the dishes - a real treat and one we'd definitely recommend, especially if Ollie is on the pass. He was a great advert for the business and a pleasure to chat to.The awards Socius has received are fully deserved, and I'm sure there are more to come.

The restaurant was buzzing despite it being a cold and windy night in January. The service was outstanding throughout the evening and there seemed to be plenty of staff all wanting to please and assist. The menu was extremely original and delicious and it was fun to be sharing many of the dishes which adds greatly to the experience. We will be back if we can get a table!

Ohhhhh my actual god. Was staying in Norfolk with my boyfriend for the weekend and wanted to go for a nice meal - literally look no further. The food was absolutely SPECTACULAR - we both agreed, top 3 restaurants we had eaten at that year (and this was at the end of December) and possibly could?ve even come first. The atmosphere and service were also outstanding. The dishes themselves were perfectly balanced, delicate, all the flavours went together beautifully. Would give it 10 stars if I could. A MUST.

I first visited Socius in the early December pre christmas calm. It was not a weekend or a friday evening just a rainy cold Wednesday night. The type of climate that peaks one's interest in eating and eating well!!! Comfort! I sat adjacent the pass and fervently observed the toing & froing of the waiting staff as well as the organisation in the kitchen. Justina attended well and paved the way for a good evening with a Negroni and a limitless smile. The menu is uncomplicated and is not subject to "specials" which indicates that they do what they do and do it bloody well. I chose from the Drinking Snacks the Sticky King Prawns. Delicious in fact so good they named it twice....I had two helpings!! Comfort secured!!! Having wrapped myself around a bottle of Montepulciano I speculated further on the Pork belly & Cotswold sausage with a back hand of house rubbed chips. Marvellous and done to perfection. Not the most adventurous i know dear reader...but such lovely tastes, i felt a beneficiary of the time spent in perfecting these dishes. The coup de gras was the fanfared arrival of the "Salted caramel tart".....oh WOW as Greg would say! This is a limited edition sweet...only produced at high tide, blue moon and an eight Sunday month. For sure the best desert of this year. No doubt. The christmas break caused me to leave my Yorkshire bunker and swiftly revisit Socius .....on two further occasions to get a handle on the other plates on the menu. Different gravy. These two nights were choco, full on with demanding festive diners. Did the service suffer? No. Did the quality of food suffer? No. Behind the pass all was orderly, focussed and enthusiastic. We sampled two further pallets full of Sticky King Prawns followed by the Burrata, Grilled Cod, Picanha Steak & Chicken liver parfait...just about leaving room for further exposure to the Salted Caramel Tart!! (There were two of us partaking!) All in all my message to you is go out of your way to enjoy an evening at this restaurant. It is so well run, the food is so tasty & perfect and the service admirable. Hopefully it will be a Blue Moon!!!
