Highlight food experience of recent weekend trip. Went for lunch on Saturday and sat on high chairs next to the pass (we knew this at time of booking). For 2 this was ideal, we got to watch the kitchen at work and see all the amazing dishes assembled at the pass. Wonderfully calm and organised kitchen. We chose a selection of mainly the small dishes that we shared, each was shared separately in tasting menu style and service was excellent - pace was just right and plates and cutlery changed after each course. Highlights were the focaccia (incredibly light and fresh), the tuna tartare (one of the best we've ever had) and the cherry tart dessert. Accompanied with a bottle of wine & water.

Incredible meal at Socius, yet again. We took our 9 year old daughter this time and the kids tomato pasta with extra sauce, cheese and toasted focaccia on the side was thoughtful and delicious! Every dish was full of flavour and texture, couldn?t fault the food and could eat it every day, all day long! Marked down slightly on service as our waitress wasn't very friendly, didn?t pour our still water for us and there was some confusion over whether our desserts contained nuts or not. Nevertheless, can?t wait to return!

Arrived at this very popular and solidly booked restaurant. The staff were very polite and welcoming. As they were fully booked, there was the option of an outside eating terrace. Same price to eat inside the restaurant as it was to sit at my plastic out side table with rust patches. Being a windy evening, the table was dusty, but, hardly the staff's fault. The staff were pleasant throughout. The food was good , but, not exceptional. I raised an issue with guests from the restaurant coming out to the terrace to vape and smoke. With the wind coming in my direction, it was somewhat irritating. Although assured it had been addressed, the behaviour continued, spoiling my meal and enjoyment. The manager came out to speak to me, apologised politely,but, the restaurants inability to simply direct their smoking guests elsewhere, spoilt the meal.
No reduction in the bill was offered, although a token of a couple of petits fours was offered, but, it came over as being quite condescending.

Had an amazong birthday meal here and would come again! Portion sizes are small, your?re definitely be getting quality over quantity here. As a group of 6 adults and 2 kids we spent £444. It was worth it though ??

Personally I don?t see all the 5star reviews but maybe it?s down to local choice. We were seated upstairs on a quiet ish Friday afternoon and I think this affected the quality and speed of service we received. However if it is quiet then surely easier to be attentive and on top of customers.
The food was ok, the steak was overcooked and again for the price you pay it shouldn?t just be acceptable. In the end we walked down the stairs ourselves to pay rather than sit waiting any longer.

What a find ! Thank you so much to everyone at Socius for a truly memorable evening ! Outstanding food and service! All the staff and namely Elle gave us a wonderful evening. We had such personable, friendly and impeccable service, the likes of which I haven?t had in such a long time. We were genuinely made to feel like we were the only diners and trust me, it was busy. Excellent food and a truly lovely evening ! Thankyou !

We visited today (12/07/25) for my partner?s birthday, having booked in advance ? and the team went above and beyond to make it special. They gave him a glass of fizz and brought out a birthday dessert with a ?happy birthday? plate, which was such a lovely touch.
All the little details really didn?t go unnoticed. The food was delicious (the arancini was incredible), the staff were amazing, and the setting is lovely. Would definitely recommend!

Our first time to Socius, and we will be back soon. The quality of the food compares very favourably with top London restaurants and will be in Michelin company soon we are sure! Feeling welcome and looked after is also important and Mat was very professional and attentive. Thankyou.

This was a gift to myself and my Husband. What an amazing experience.
The restaurant itself had a lovely relaxed feeling, the food was something else, so many flavours and the way it was presented made it all the more appetising.
The staff were brilliant, if you were not sure what to order they helped you through the menu.
Desserts were yummy too.
Will definitely be back.
