Bread is lovely but you need to get there at 9:30 as when I went there the second day they said they didn?t know till their delivery came. Pasty was sub par so wouldn?t bother with those. It is much cheaper than other bakery options in the town tho and the staff are nice.

Very disappointed with the service. I bought a very exspensive slice of cake. She took it out the back to cut and then placed all 3 slices in one box. I was not given the chance to see what I was buying and left feeling like I'd been ripped off. Very tiny slices for what turned out to be below average cake.

So grateful for @Humble pie @Burnham Market and Guerneys for friendly staff sharing the most delicious selection of deli delights & fish ... from local produce to fayre from afar, and for providing & helping organise the most stunning custom birthday cake for my much loved sister ... thank you!!!

Burnham Market is one of the many places I bookmarked as a "musttogo" when investigating the area. A Guardian article promoting it as "hells-charming" (I'm paraphrasing, here) didn't hurt, either. So...off we tumbled. Burnham Market, ho! The action in Burnham Market - not on, but very close to, the north coast of Norfolk - centres around a green, and Humble Pie is just off it, on the main strip. First off: on a blisteringly hot day, Humble Pie was deliciously air conditioned. Ok, I'll stay here for a while, thanks. No, but beyond that: I WANTED to stay! Here's why: - a definite focus on local produce - house-made jams and chutneys that make great consolation gifts for friends unable to join you in Norfolk - some of my favourite things, with several varieties on offer: olives! Truffles! OLIVES AND TRUFFLES! - if you're renting a place nearby, there are some good prepared meals that you can bring home (nb: some are marked as being Ottolenghi recipes, so...bound to be magic) - MOST notably, for my tastes: the pork pies. These were major. May-jah. Made from free-range local pork, the pastry was perfect, the meat was delicious and generous in quantity, and the seasoning was *so* spot on. Coming in 3 sizes, the totally decent price-point was just the icing on the cake or...erm...the picallilly on the pork pie? Yelp note: a special note for really interesting vegetarian options. NB in particular, a savoury veggie-and-pear tart option, but also things like hummus and spinach/cheese parcels.
