This is a fantastic traditional village pub. The staff are friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming and there is a great selection of local beers that were all delicious. Would highly recommend.

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday here, while on holiday in Norfolk. Everything cooked to perfection and so tasty! The staff were so friendly and the service was quick! We would definitely recommend!

Popped in for some food, and straight away the staff give you the impression they actually want to help you, happy, smiling and enjoying their work. The food was great, and made better by simply being made to feel they wanted us there. Would definitely recommend! ?

What a welcoming pub.The Staff and locals are fantastic. Loads going on and food is very good.
Bingo and quiz nights are a must along with everything else organised. A real community pub that welcomes visitors like us.
Thank everyone of you involved in the Chequers and May your efforts of raising community spirit continue. I really hope to see you all again.

We ate here because it was a short walk from our campsite and we were not disappointed. Staff were so lovely and friendly and the food was delicious. Would recommend the burger and sticky toffee pudding!

I think some additional recommendation buttons are needed: welcoming staff, sincere honest customer service, innovative menu; deliberately limited which is done exceedingly well, unique tastes and flavours, local atmosphere where visitors welcomed warmly, community spirited with a rolling list of good local causes supported, a banana bread and butter pudding to die for, chocolate orange brownie sundae.
Great to see a lovely little art gallery of work by local artists, really reasonably priced.
An experience at the end of a day which rounded off trips down memory lane from more than half a century ago.
Thanks for making it so special.

We found this pub on Britstops which is an app for motorhome and campervan owners. The pub offers free overnight parking in return for purchasing a meal. As a chef I could not fault the food, limited menu but really well cooked and served by amiable staff who totally engage with their customers. Attentive without being overzealous! Worked my way through the ales on tap and finished with a very nice still Norfolk cider. Food was good value for money, not cheap but not expensive. Really busy with locals and visitors but great atmosphere, what more could be asked of a country/village pub? 3 courses and several drinks for less than £50 per head.

Such a nice friendly place, my partner is vegan and has some allergies but despite being very busy, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful trying to accommodate us and make us welcome. They were very happy to make a vegan meal if booked in advance but in the end we were happy with making a meal from the very generous sides of chips, onion rings, mixed salad, coleslaw and olives. Had a beer up on the terrace watching the sunset as well, top pub, top people.

Thought this looked a nice place to stop for an evening meal. There were people eating but plenty of empty tables too. I stood at the bar, the lady seving ignored me and served someone elsd who i took to be local as she called him by his name. He had come to the bar a good 2 minutes after me. She the asked if we wanted food or just a drink. I said food and she just said there's no spare tables. I looked around the bar and could see at least four or five with no reserved signs. Felt very unwelcoming. Bit like something from The League of Gentlemen. Found a very warm welcome at a pub in the next village.

Had a very enjoyable birthday lunch here. Staff very attentive, small menu but what they do have, they do well! I think I would have eaten every single item on the menu. Great special selection too.
