We visited to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and, unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The steak was tough and gristly, the peppercorn sauce was served cold, and the children?s spaghetti bolognese contained little to no meat. The garlic bread appeared microwaved after being topped with cheese, and overall, the food presentation felt very poor.
Service was also slow, with dishes arriving around 20 minutes apart. For a bill of over £100 for two adults and one child (without starters or desserts), the quality simply did not justify the price.
On a positive note, the pub itself is in a beautiful location, full of character, though it does feel quite dated.

Stayed for a night with my dog as its a dog friendly inn, and friends visited for dinner. Food was lovely, atmosphere great. Staff couldn't do enough for us and were so friendly and polite. Matt was really friendly and helpful. Room was really comfy and decor in keeping with the inn. Bed really comfortable too.
Breakfast was nice and lots to choose from.
All in all a great place to stay and will certainly go back.

Can't say anything about the rooms as I have never stayed there. But the pub and restaurant are 1st class

Service, location, food and setting was lovely
Quirky layout which adds to the charm
Plenty of parking
There was a big play area outside which we know our little one would love
The only draw back for us personally was the random cats in the garden area, nothing to do with the pub itself but clearly an ongoing thing as there were signs asking you not to feed them
Husband got scratched by one when he moved finished plates away.. not the pubs fault, just not ideal
Will definitely visit again ??

Really nice meal, lovely pub, lots of atmosphere, sectioned eating areas making the pub seem intimate even though there was a lot of covers.

I visited the windmill in necton expecting the same quality service I received last time I was there, but unfortunately I was not impressed. The new land lord is very rude and unprofessional. I found the food bland and chewy also my drink was nearly undrinkable it?s such a shame since the old landlord has left this pub. It has clearly gone down hill I won?t be revisiting again.

Came in for a half as was passing on a wet July afternoon.
Although the modern wings are quite bland the main bar is cosy and nicely decorated.
Probably more of a winter pub for me.
Unfortunately the choice of beers was pretty mainstream and the wherry I had was a touch on the expensive side(£3.15) for a mid Norfolk pub and only just drinkable.
