Lovely place for a 3year old party. Lots of space and parking. We fit a huge bouncy castle with a slide inside the hall along with toys. They had a great time

Booked several rooms with Thornton manor for a wedding night. Wedding was cancelled due to covid and family illness. Refusing to refund any money. Credit note no good to me. Even asked for 50% refund in compromise. Management not willing and ignoring all communication. Rip off! Paid for a service I didn?t receive!

Gatehouse: Incredible accommodation with many of the original features still remaining and original charm. Everything is catered for, including toiletries, coffee, Wi-Fi, etc. Hot tub is a bonus. Can accommodate 6 people, but just the 2 of us stayed and loved it. Cannot speak highly enough about this beautiful property. Communication with the company prior to visit was great Will definitely be returning

THORNTON MANOR SCAMMED ME! Lost all my wedding money on this venue. Over 100 brides and grooms were scammed and all lost their money. Check Facebook group Thornton manor weddings 2022 for more info. Please do not go for this.

The accommodation was very good, three bedrooms, one kitchen and one bathroom. Everything you need is there including nice touches (small bottle of milk for first cuppa/caf and decaf coffee). Dog friendly with large area to walk dog. The only minor whinge is about the broadband/Wi-Fi. It is entirely useless. Yes it works but downloads measured at max 0.8mb and upload 0.2. Even with very poor 3G we got 10 times the speed. What?s the point of having it if it?s unusable. Certainly couldn?t stream TV I. The evening.

This place is a mish mash of different types of accommodation. We booked the annex for one night as we were visiting family in the area. Description on our booking stated 'apartment' with countryside views, with crockery, cutlery and glassware. This led us to believe there would be an area where we could eat. Upon arrival we were greeted by a small dingy bedroom with no views and an en-suite. The matteress had seen better days, and yes, there was all the crockery and cutlery etc, but why??. There was a fridge with a broken handle, a toaster and a kettle, but nowhere to sit and eat or wash up, so why on earth supply all of this for a small bedroom with nowhere to eat other than the bed itself? - bizarre. Small pole area to hang your clothes, which was so low, a dress when hung dragged across the floor. To top it off, a door in the bedroom, although locked, backed straight on to the cottage next door, and we could hear the group next door very clearly. It felt like we were in someone else's house. I am writing this from our quiet, spacious room in a Premier Inn, which we booked into after leaving this awful place late at night. The photos do not necessarily represent what you are getting, so be cautious before handing over any money. Our accommodation felt like a dingy bedsit and was such a disappointment that we spent the same amount of money just to get out of there.

I'm just back now from my first visit to winter wonderlights and what a magical experience it was we started of by speaking and dancing with the elf then off to see santa and that was just amazing my little boy was in his element we walked down this lovely path met by a fairy and an elf we were the only ones on this path so it felt very personal like we were the only ones there santa was great and this was all before the lights the little touches with the faires and elves walking the trial plenty of picture opportunities every member off staff were so lovely the lad working on the front tonight sorry didn't get his name but he was so nice and helped me anyway he could we will be back next year

We booked our visit for 17.15 on 18.12.22 for Santa's grotto and the Wonderlight trail the cost of the tickets were not cheap plus the expense of getting to the venue but we thought it would be worth it after seeing the online advertising on their website. How wrong we were, we headed for the grottos first as advised as it closed at 7pm so we had enough time to walk round the trail. the grotto if thats what you could call it was a small cold, stone room with a curtain thrown up with lights on and a dreadful fake fire !!! no elves or fairies or any magic whatsoever, Santa was lovely ( as were all the staff) but his costume didnt fit neither did his beard !!! this left us completely underwhelmed. We set off on the light trail, I expected more music more festivity, to see elves interacting with children, no, while the lights where pretty to look at, the whole event felt cheap and tacky. all in all we were in and out in 45 mins feeling less festive and furious at the cost, even if they changed next year to a £5 pay at the gate I wouldnt go.

Awful. So awful. So relentlessly awful. Just terrible. God awful. Christ. So bad I would pay £80 again to have the entire, sad trudge through along a mud lady path looking at white plastic sheets covering lawns and fake snow sprayed trees, whilst the worst of 00?s Christmas pop played at speaker shaking volume erased from my mind. Why do we continue to be fooled by so called Winter Wonderlands that promise so much but deliver such awful disappointment? £20 each. 20 minutes experience. Awful.

Came to winter wonderland tonight. Was expecting a really festive and Christmassh atmosphere, but was very disappointed. The lights were fairly sparse and the atmosphere was decidedly lacking. The experience took us about 20 minutes to walk around, and we didn't walk quickly! I feel sorry for families dropping near £100 for this experience. The staff, however we're fantastic, which is why this review is 3* they were friendly and helpful all along the route. The fairground was a bit tacky, and whilst geared toward younger kids it did seem unfair to charge extra on top of the ticket price!

We visited Thornton Manors Winter Wonderlight on December 16th, our visit time was at 4:30pm, which is the first booking slot of the evening. Unfortunately on arrival the attractions and drink/food stalls that precede entry into the Winter Wonderlight experience were not yet open; disappointing as it would have been nice to have taken a warm drink on the the main lights trail experience. A steward told us that everyone seems to be running late today, but there is another place to get drinks about halfway through the light trail. We entered the light trail and in all honesty it was quite nice, and any staff that we spoke to were very pleasant, the issue is that the experience is so short and very poor value for money; we dawdled around and stopped at the aforementioned ?mid-point? drink stop (more about this experience in a mo) and we were done in 30 minutes and at £20 per person, it just felt so expensive for what you get to see, I?ve thought hard about what I think an appropriate price would be and I would say £12/12.50 per person at the most. To add to the disappointing experience, the drinks we purchased at the stand within the lights trail were terrible, a mulled wine and a Baileys hot chocolate were purchased, the cost £12, the price is to be expected when you are in an experience of this type, the issue is the quality of the drinks, the ingredients used must have been the cheapest you can get for the hot chocolate as it tastes vile and my wife ended up throwing it all away, I wish she had said something at the time of purchasing as I would have definitely asked for a refund because it really was of a terrible taste, very cheap and nasty, similarly the mulled wine was poured straight from a bottle I have seen in the supermarkets for under £3 a bottle, it was drinkable however. It was one of those situations whereby you feel that there is no care or attention from the seller in the products they are selling. 100% a case of trying to achieve the greatest profit margin as possible, selling at the highest price you can get away with, whilst also using the cheapest ingredients you can get away with. Sincerely I would not usually post about things like this because we all come across these things from time to time, but this was so poor I felt I had to share the experience. Thornton Manor, you need to improve on so many levels if you want to get repeat business, as we definitely won?t be returning

We have just been to Thornton Manors winter wonderland. Wow what a fabulous amazing experience. I went with my two grand children ages 11 and 7. They loved it! The lights are loverly , we saw Father Christmas and had lots of fun at the fair especially the bumper cars. Well done Thornton Manor.
