I have nothing but kind words for everyone who works at Spital Surgery!I?ve just had surgery at the Royal, in which they didn?t send me home with the correct dressings (to be changed daily).Spital surgery have helped in every single way, from speaking to a doctor to get the prescription which the Royal forgot, to helping me when Boots told me ?the order hasn?t come in and they can?t do anything?, to even giving me suggestions of places to get my dressings changed at the weekends. The receptionists are lovely and polite. I get the feeling they do generally care about the patients health and they want to help you as much as they can. You feel very fragile after having surgery and all the staff I have spoken to have been nothing but helpful & lovely.Big thanks to the receptionists & the two nurses who have really helped me (one was nurse Lucy).Thank you.

This deserves a five star review because these reviews are hilarious. Five stars all the way for Spital Surgery with everything they do! Doctors, receptionist and nurses you all do a brilliant job. ? I don't agree with naming people on reviews...

Doctors are good (they are qualified)Admin isn't (might not be qualified)Front desk woman acted like a petulent child when they messed up an emergency prescription for me (I suspect they looked at my name, didn't check the actual drug on the request, gave me my usual meds instead, because they're lazy)keyword: Lazy. If you ever sit in the waiting room, observe the admin ladies, try and catch them doing work; you'll be hard-pressed to succeed, between them making personal phone calls and 'avin a chinwag with the girls. The same woman I mentioned ignored large portions of what I was saying to her, then got annoyed when I asked if she was even listening (I had no way of knowing. No word of a lie, she was facing away, and not speaking or answering me).I asked how they would fix their admin error, she replied "it's not her problem" and I had to remind her it WAS in fact, her problem; it was an admin error from her team.Next door in the pharmacy was more helpful.Fortunately the head pharmacist saved the day, and gave me an emergency supply for the *prescribed* medicine.Their admin should have at least experience in administrative work. And I refuse to believe the argumentative ignorance they displayed today is that of qualified administrators. If you read this, you've been warned. Don't give the desk staff anything other than a smile, or you're in for it.

The receptionist Charlotte was really unhelpful and rude on the phone! Absolutely no help.

My thanks go to Dr. Minns for his recent home visit and arranging transfer to Arrowe Park Hospital where I received treatment for a badly infected right knee. Am now recovering and awaiting transfer to Walton for further spinal investigationRichard Moore

I had to leave this surgery because of power tripping receptionist's. One in particular Carol her attitude is shocking.

Jane the practice nurse has been so patient and caring with my 4 year old son. I really cannot thank her enough. Lovely practice with very helpful reception staff and GPs.

Doctors and Nurses are great. However, the way the patients are frowned upon by some of the receptionists is awful. It is literally making me feel uncomfortable going in.Today, I had information, as requested by G.P to pass through reception. I was told with a disgruntled attitude to ' put it there'. She then asked with an impatient tone 'what is it' I said it is information requested by G.P.She impatiently whipped it up from the desk and opened it.I really think its bad to make a patient feel like a nuisance. This is meant to be a place we go for help.

Have been a pt here for many years and not had a problem, until recently and the problem being the rude receptionist named Carole. I enquired with her whilst having my flu jab to when my elderly grandparents one who not only has dementia but is severely immunosuppressed when they would be given a home visit. The response I got from her ? are they on the list? ?we haven?t got a date and if they on the list they will be seen? didn?t even leave her chair to check if they where on the list, didn?t even ask their names. It?s now November and they are still waiting for their flu jabs. Her tone, manners and complete disregard for pts is awful. On a positive the Drs and nurses are all fab, just admin/reception let this practice down.

We have been looked after very well by the team. They handled my father's immensely complex care in conjunction with his tertiary care specialists. They look after my mother extremely well too. Special thanks to Gill and Drs Simopoulos, Clegg and Thompson. We are grateful. We remember our beloved Dr Hortop, whose compassion and care were second to none. We hope for the surgery to go from strength to strength.

Fantastic surgery, staff, doctors all exceptional. Highly rate this surgery and how hard the staff work to deliver a person centred, efficient and accessible service for their patients. Thats my experience anyway, im sure others will agree!

30 years I have been a patient at Spital Surgery the past 8 years of which I have been a patient living outside the area. Having been told this was no problem hence being seen for the past 8 years! Today after being seriously unwell before lockdown and then receiving a letter from them to say to shield for being at high risk they send me a TEXT MESSAGE to tell me to find a new surgery in lockdown within the next month DIRTY!!!!

Best GP service I have ever been. Gave appointment for my little one almost on same day every time I call. Dr Minns and Dr Thompson are outstanding.
