Our visit to Tanskeys today was very disappointing. Upon entering we were informed in a very abrupt manner that no tables were available indoors. We sat in the outside area and were told someone would take our order. After 15 minutes we asked when someone would be available. We waited another 10 minutes still no-one arrived to take our order. We eventually left. I don't usually leave reviews but this is the second time that we have received poor service here. Obviously we won't be trying again

Attended the movie night, wouldn't go again. Not attentive, could see they were stressed with the 25 max in attendance. Had the curry, and on ordering was asked if I wanted rice! Who wants curry on its own? No bread or other offers with that just curry and rice in a soup bowl. Movie night.... 2 bowls to share amongst 5! Shallow bowls at that. Floors were slippery so elderly watch out. Positive points, movie was good.

Very disappointed with film night . It was freezing in there. Not told starters were exra. Not s cheap night out . Better cheaper places to go to . Staff should tell you starters extract. ?

Really nice cafe/bar. The perfect place to go for a coffee and more after a walk around the lake. Very efficient and professional friendly staff. Tables can be booked and it does get busy so a good idea especially if there are a few of you.

The most unwelcome and rude staff I ever meet in my life. Disgusting attitude. Never again. When someone doesn?t like to work as a waitress must to find a job that suit most them.

Probably very nice however couldn't get served despite it being about half full. Sat down and waited 15 mins. Spoke to young lad who said he'd be with us now. He then took the bill to a couple he seemed to know. He chatted to them for a few mins, went and cleared a table then returned to his 'mates' and continued to chat to them. Meantime a table of 4 who came in 10 mins after us had their order taken by a waitress and the two gents next to us had been served and finished their meal. Got up and went over to the young lad and told him not to bother. He said OK, obviously not bothered. Went to the Tee Room on Banks Road and had a great meal with quick, friendly service.

Just popped in today with my partner and 2 grandkids , there were plenty of empty tables inside and the woman member of staff said they were all booked and we could not eat there, she basically didn't want our service and was rude. Been there before with my grandson and didn't have to book on that occasion so wont be going back again

Lovely family run cafe bistro overlooking the sea. Limited menu but all good and freshly cooked. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Good value.

If you?re looking for a good honest cafe on the sea front with nice food at a sensible price then this is the place to go. One of our favourites for a light lunch after walking around the boating lake.

Stopped for ice cream while out walking.
The price of the ice cream doesn?t match the size of the scoops provided.
Two two scoop tubs had less ice cream in them than you?d expect in a cone and cost nearly £9.
Wouldn?t be returning for ice cream.
