As a small business owner we really support and appreciate local people working hard at business to service the local economy and generate employment and profit. However, The Olive Tree Bistro has significant shortcomings when it comes to booking, contacting and first contact when entering the premises. The juvenile and immature server who introduced herself as the 'owners daughter' is clearly inexperienced and needs formal training to undertake such an important role and her aggression and rudeness when we checked in resulted in us not being seated and leaving. Having reviewed the previous negative reviews, I anticipate the expected aggressive response from OTB which will hinder their ability to progress. Feedback is such a precious commodity which I see is not a welcomed opportunity here and I suspect that this will see further decline, more cancelled opening times, inability to recruit passionate kitchen staff and reflect on what the customer sees from a front of house perspective. I can honestly say that this is the single worst experience we've had in Wirral.

Lovely independent restaurant on the high street, we came for brunch which was really good, though I think lunch / dinner will be a notch up. Will come back another time! Great

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday, staff were super friendly and food lovely!Will visit again soon, only suggestion would be for more veggie / vegan options :)

Always the perfect service at The Olive Tree by all staff & love that it?s a family run business. The food is always gorgeous, first time I?ve experienced the lunch menu & it didn?t disappoint

Don?t normally write reviews but had such a lovely experience that I just had to share it. Decor was plain but inviting, service was quick and friendly and the food was fresh and excellent. I had fish and chips with mushy peas and home made tartare sauce and it was to die for. Was on business but if I?m ever in the area again I?m heading straight there.

Such a lovely restaurant. The food and service at Olive Tree Bistro is excellent.The goujon starter and halloumi salad are really tasty.We also ordered chicken burger with home made chips and were really impressed.One member of our party had the ice cream and waffle, which again was excellent.All food is fresh and made from good quality ingredients.We booked for a table of four, with three of us having the lunchtime two course special and one of our party having one course.With a drink each, the bill came in under £90.
