Pretty depressing and well worn, but it's open late so that's a bonus. The staff are young and inexperienced, which is expected. This venue demonstrates a slice into an Orwellian dystopia, which is simultaneously fascinating and terrifying.
We stayed for one drink and promptly left, fearing for our sanity. It was the feeling of existential dread that encouraged us to move on to a more lively venue, and as soon as the dank shadowy atmosphere was behind us I felt a new lease of life course through my veins, and the willingness to live resurfaced.
I can't rate the food as we didn't eat there, but I'm sure even Soylent Green has a palatable satisfaction if you're hungry enough.

Possibly the worst spoons I?ve ever been to, food is lukewarm, toilets not checked on hourly basis like supposed to be, cubicles not flushed and unsanitary, urine all over the floor and no soap,broken toilet seat and the staff trying to force you out 2 minutes after the bar shuts at 00:00.
Would not recommend even to my worst enemy (if I had one).
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

This place will always be what I expect from Spoons in Wallasey. It's value for money whether it be food or drinks. The clientele is very mixed, from younger people to the older generation of which I'm one. It's usually quite busy, lively, but not raucous or intimidating. As a Spoons goes, it's definitely one of the best.

Absolutely awful. Went for breakfast and we ordered American pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The bacon was freezing cold and looked like the day before?s leftovers . They hadn?t even bothered to warm it up never mind cook it fresh. I told the server who took them away and obviously microwaved it to the point that the pancake was so tough it was hard to cut! Tip-NEVER order the breakfast pancakes.
