This place has seriously gone downhill in the last year or so. Every time I've gone in now half of the shelves are bare and not stocked properly, items are in the wrong place. Not a place to rely on doing your food shop anymore! They also move items around (IE dairy free fridge) yet don't change the signs in the aisles which tell you what's there. Staff are usually stacking the shelves (of what there is) constantly and taking up half the aisles which isn't necessarily their fault perhaps but half the time they're not polite and see you as an inconvenience and on one occasion one of them wasn't looking where they were going and nearly pushed their caged trolley in to me and then in to another person. Another time one walked backwards down an aisle with the trolley and nearly walked in to us and she looked at us like we were dirt.
Handheld scanners aren't replaced quick enough or they simply don't have enough as numerous times there's been none available or charged yet never a problem at Tesco. Staff at self checkouts are normally standing there with bags chatting amongst themselves and act like you're an inconvenience when you actually need help or a member of staff. 3-4 members of staff there today who weren't actually doing anything besides talking and facing the other way so didn't see me standing there waiting for someone to come over.
One time I found some seitan from the fridge section placed in the free from dry goods section which was obviously placed by a customer but it was left there for at least 3 weeks as I visited the store numerous times in that time and it was still there!!

Very unhappy with quality of Rump steak cooked perfect but is too chewy to eat. Not worth what we paid and ruined our meal. This is the second time we have had Rump like this will not be purchasing again. Steak is a treat should not have to spend hard earned money on this poor quality product.

Just came back from a poor shopping experience at Asda in Liscard. products are moved around every week, and there are signs telling you which doors to use to enter and exit. There was only one manned till open and long queues at the self service ones. The place is obviously under a new GM who has no regard for the regular customers. It is a shambles.

Went here 27.06.2025 11:30. Always get a pizza made, but today they had a sign up saying not available even though the assistant was there making pizzas. Tried to get her attention but she blanked me... Don't understand we why this service was not available when it was manned. ?

Oh wow reading reviews here I see I'm not alone, was getting paranoid regards terribly rude staff at checkout (their is some nice ones) . I use scan and go but feel like I'm always getting checked. I use clearpay and I now know after many heated visits not to use any coupons with it as it crashes the system or clearpay will not scan, staff look at you like your scamming or a tramp. I stopped going there for a while as I'd had enough but unfortunately only place to get certain items. I work late Monday to Friday so don't get there til after nine and on one occasion got to till at 21-50 but after coupon fiasco was nearing ten I got the "we don't get paid after ten remark" I asked for my receipt was told no like I was lucky to have even been helped, I was fuming.
Another time scan and go again , I was going to use a rewards coupon I'd saved up. I didn't use it all, got told I'd lose the rest so older lady let me run back to get more stuff, I come back with items on promotion I'd been getting for weeks if not months but the price didn't alter accordingly, I told her the promotion was definitely on I'll go back and take a pic of it, I hadn't been pulled for the inspection when I got back they'd gone through my shopping! She manually altered my shopping like she'd done me a favour although I was right. So was made to feel untrustworthy, I'd scanned everything!
Scan and go again, I asked bald fella for bag he said wait a minute, so I just got one myself when he came back I said it's ok he looked disgusted, feel like it's a thing now everytime I see him and always seems to be lurking about when I've had all these other issues.
I need to go there today, dreading it. Hopefully people on tills and stuff on shelves. Scan and go absolutele disaster, end up taking longer than tills.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent visits to your store. I visited your branch on 7th December for a weekly shop and again on 18th December for last-minute items. On both occasions, the experience was nothing short of disastrous.
Firstly, during my visit on the 7th, I anticipated some level of busyness given it was a Saturday in the run-up to Christmas. However, there?s a stark difference between being busy and being completely unorganised. I opted for the Scan and Go service in hopes of saving time but, regrettably, was proven wrong.
The store was chaotic, with every aisle filled with abandoned trolleys of cardboard and boisterous staff pushing large black trolleys for online orders. When I asked a staff member about this, she informed me they were fulfilling online orders. While I appreciate the need for online shopping, the in-store experience should take priority. It?s unacceptable for physical customers to be unable to navigate the aisles because of this. Online orders should be managed during quieter times, such as early mornings or late evenings, to ensure they don?t disrupt the in-store experience.
Adding to the frustration, there seemed to be no leadership or supervision on the shop floor. Staff were in the way, and there was no visible effort to keep the store tidy. Trolleys were abandoned all over, shelves were not being stocked, and there was a clear lack of organisation.
The chaos reached its peak at the checkout. After completing my shop, I was selected for a quality check, which I understand is standard practice. However, I was shocked to find myself fourth in a queue for the check, with no staff in sight. Meanwhile, three staff members were focused on the basket self-checkouts rather than addressing the growing queue at the Scan and Go area. When I asked for assistance, I was told there were no additional staff available. The situation was laughable?most of the self-serve checkouts had red lights, with customers waiting for help, yet there were only a handful of staff to manage the entire section.
To make matters worse, after the quality check was completed, my carefully packed bags were left in a complete mess in the trolley. The whole ordeal was so stressful that I vowed never to return.
Unfortunately, I did return on 18th December, as my wife needed some last-minute items and fuel. We thought that a late midweek visit would be less chaotic, but we were wrong. The store was once again in disarray?empty shelves, abandoned cages of cardboard, and the same online order trolleys dominating the aisles. There was still no sign of supervision or leadership. It?s clear the store is severely understaffed and lacks proper management to handle the demand.
To add insult to injury, we were both again selected for a quality check?even though my wife only purchased three crates of Pepsi. And I purchased the weekly shop. Once home, I realised that all my freezer food had been left behind at the store. I had to drive back to retrieve it, only to be told the staff had forgotten to put it back in my trolley after the quality check.
It is abundantly clear that your store is prioritising cost-cutting over customer service. There are simply not enough staff to manage the store properly, and the prioritisation of online orders at the expense of in-store customers is unacceptable. Competing stores like Lidl and Aldi provide far superior customer experiences, and I have never encountered anything like this in their branches.
This was the final straw for me?I will not be returning to this store again. I strongly urge you to review your staffing levels, management practices, and the way you balance online and in-store shopping priorities. The current state of the store is a disgrace.
I hope you will take this feedback seriously and make the necessary changes to improve your operations.

bit grim, but does what it says on the tin. the manned checkouts are better. if you want help on the self service prepare to wait an inordinate amount of time. staff stood around talking. had to shout one of them down after 5 times of asking, turned around and was faced with someone who looked like they had the bubonic plague. i physically recoiled. useless service

I went into the Asda pharmacy on a Sunday just before they were closing, I went as I had not been feeling well and was also struggling to sleep so I bought a few medications hoping they would help me, then the pharmacist noticed me & asked if I was ok as I was drenched in sweat, twitch, extremely pale, badly nauseous & other things so he asked do I take regular meds & I told him I take ?200mg of Sertraline? daily and have done for 4 years now but I forgot to pick up my script on Friday, so I?d had none Thur,Fri,sat & up until then Sunday, he then told me I was in full on ?WITHDRAWAL? from the Sertraline which I didn?t even know was a thing, he was incredibly kind & understanding & immediately took my details and give me an emergency supply there and then, this was 30 mins before it closed on a Sunday, it was BUSY, he could have said nothing and carried on doing the million and 1 things he was likely doing, but he showed genuine concern & absolutely no judgement, his only concern was getting me my medication now so I did not get sicker. After around 15 mins I left with what I?d bought and my medication to take, and I felt so so much better a few hours after taking it, I honestly dread to think what I?d have been like come Monday, I did not get his name, but he was super observant, really kind, non Judgemental, he showed he cared that I got this medication & completely understood my symptoms, I just have never encountered a pharmacist like this before & im EXTREMELY grateful he was working Sunday & I will use that as my pharmacy from now on, there needs to be more pharmacists like him.

The worst laid out supermarket I've ever visited. The flow is bizarre and items that are in the row are ill themed and connected and it's quite expensive compared to other supermarkets.
There are huge gaps and empty shelves and I'll avoid this branch at all costs.
The lady on the checkout was friendly. The one positive.
