Why waste good money going to yoga classes when you have the opportunity to sit and contemplate the meaning of life for an hour and a half while you wait for your prescription at Tesco Pharmacy.
Take the opportunity to catch one of the many contagious diseases people come with while you are waiting.
Enjoy the sound of the staff laughing and joking when they should be focusing on sorting your medication out.
Yes,Tesco Phar acy is the p,ace to go if this is what you like to do on a Monday afternoon.

They clearly cannot cope with demand. They don't have a full time pharmacist so rely on agency staff every day. When they can't get an agency pharmacist, they just close. The service is consistently horrendous.

Had to wait 1 hour for my prescription only to be told I had to call the next day as they didn't have enough of my tablets. The next day I rang in the morning only to be told not in ring back in the afternoon rang in the afternoon told still not in ring tomorrow. Finally got my tablets after 2 days.

Pharmacist Kathleen Mok was very rude and difficult with me. I made an emergency prescription with the reason of being away from home. Due to mental and personal issues I?m not able to go home at the minute, she came to me and said she has checked my address and said it is ?not that far at all? I said I have personal issues I don?t need to disclose with her as to why I can?t go home but I can?t. It?s 50 minute drive so it isn?t exactly round the corner as I have lots going on at the minute, I can?t drive and don?t have money to spend on transport. She then told me that ?well that?s how far I drive to work? which is an extremely rude and inconsiderate thing to say as she has no idea about my current circumstances that I don?t feel comfortable speaking about, especially to someone as rude as her. Although I explained again that I have no way of getting home at the minute and this prescription needs to be taken today she proceeded to refuse the prescription because to her ?it wasn?t an emergency?. She made me extremely uncomfortable and as though my reason wasn?t valid enough for her and was almost scoffing at me when I claimed it was an emergency for me. To me this was an emergency and I wouldn?t have put it through if it wasn?t.

I know pharmacies are very busy at the minute but when you are told to come back in a hr which you do & are then told to come back before they close at 8pm which you again do only then are you told the medication isn't in stock & to late to take anywhere else not impressed, if it wasnt a emergency prescription I wouldnt have been bothered so much.

Never seem to answer the phone to see if any prescriptions are ready

Stood waiting for nearly 30mins as 4 people in the back. Not one acknowledgement of waiting customers. A simple acknowledgement or a 'we will be with you in a few minutes' would have been the best.
No manners and zero respect for customers. I am sympathetic to the plight of local pharmacies but not to this one any more. Not the first time either, according to my wife.

Not the best pharmacy, only thing going for it was the late opening hours. However a pharmacist seems to only be there from 0930 to 1700. Should not offer services it advertises. Out stock on most items. Will try and dispense your prescription, then old you ransom as they have part dispense.

Had a problem getting hold of my elderly mother?s medication at our usual pharmacy. Brought her prescription to Tesco during our weekly shop and the gentleman who helped explained that there was a manufacturing problem but was able to phone around and get hold of a pack. Now we bring the whole family?s prescriptions here and it?s so much easier, just wait for them to text you then go along and pick it up on your next shopping trip, two birds one stone. Thanks!

Went to collect my prescription and was offered a blood pressure check. I have a hard time seeing my GP at the moment so thought I might as well. Turns out I had high blood pressure and my GP contacted me on the back of the pharmacy results to give me a prescription to fix it. Thanks to the pharmacist for helping, I would never have known I needed help if he hadn?t offered! 10/10 from me!

Used to be an excellent pharmacy but today was a completely different experience.
I needed an urgent prescription and the doctor sent it through for me to Tesco which is my nearest pharmacy. I gave it over four hours before going to collect but it wasn?t ready. Given no indication of how long it would be but told that I could shop or take a seat. I?m really unwell at the moment so wanted to get home as soon as possible but had to wait over forty minutes. When I asked how long it would be, the assistant pointed to a notice on the counter about repeat prescriptions taking up to 24 hours! This wasn?t a repeat prescription so not sure of the relevance to me. I live on my own and do not have anyone who could have picked it up for me so I had to sit in considerable pain whilst waiting. Found the staff rude and offhand.

Been stood waiting here for 15 minutes. 3 people behind the counter and we haven?t even been acknowledged. What a joke. No apologies or indication of how long we?ll be waiting, just ignored. Queue is getting bigger and bigger and no one even comes out.

I have a lot of patience but the time it can take to be served is something else, the staff just stand out the back & can clearly see the queues & they act as if ur not there.
One Member might come out but then will disappear for 10 mins looking for one person's prescription & so you are just stood waiting for 15 / 20 minutes. I don't mind waiting but it's a joke at times.
More staff or better staff

I needed an emergency prescription as I was away from home and had forgotten my medication. The staff were friendly and very helpful, advising me what I needed to do and then processing my prescription quickly when it came through from my GP. Many thanks. Great friendly and efficient service.
