I'm sorry a few customers have had a bad experience, but for me it was good did most of it online only called in to use ATM pin ect ,lady blonde pleasent face over whelming help gave me envelopes for deposits if closed and told me that transfers could be done directly to savings account and don't need to go thru current account which I didn't know so well done .I would just say though Banks's are there to make money not necessarily friend's .

I went into this branch on Monday to draw cash and transfer money overseas. I was MADE TO USE THE ATM MACHINE even though I objected to it and the machine was not cleaned before I was made to use it. TAKE HEED CUSTOMERS. Since I am clinically vulnerable I always wear a mask outside my home, however the bossy employee was not wearing a mask. This has since been denied, although I am not allowed to see their cctv to prove it. Don't bother complaining to Nationwwide, they maintain their staff are perfect and follow their rules. Let's make sure, shall we, users of Southport branch?

Wow, what fantastic customer service!! The greeter at the door was very pleasant and when I was referred to Diane, honestly she went above and beyond. Helpful, caring and positive. So appreciative. Thank you!!

I was served by Jackie the branch manager and I have been left shell shocked at the rudeness and lack of manners shown by her considering her position. She demoralised grown men because they were unsure how to change their pin and asked for help, which Iâ??m not surprised this man had to ask for help due to the sheer unorganisation of the branch. They donâ??t offer debit cards to unders 18â??s which is what I went in to sort out as I was allowed and instructed by another member of staff to sign up online for one, so I will be moving bank because of thisð??? When I was asking about it at the desk I didnâ??t know how to explain it and she kept repeating the same question making me feel uneasy, as if she doesnâ??t know what to do if the client can not answer that question.
Fair enough, you mightâ??ve been having a bad day, but that doesnâ??t mean you have to make everybody else have a bad day too. This happened a few weeks ago however the experience has stuck with me.
I wouldnâ??t have given them the one star but it was necessary for me to be allowed to post this.

This branch of Nationwide is located on London Street in Southport. Inside, the bank is a little old fashioned and crying out, in dire need of refurb. Inside the branch, there was a lot of empty space and not many machines for paying in or withdrawing money. The staff member I spoke to seemed friendly enough, and helpful in advising me when my new card etc should be received in the post. Nationwide is a Building Society, but this branch is also surrounded by many banks including Lloyds and Natwest. Staff decent, overall store is not - a slightly generous two star rating.

Very helpful staff. Good choice of accounts. Leaflets easy to understand & available in the Branch. Good attention given to customers waiting, to keep the queues moving. Central location.
