Understaffed!! Had an appointment to collect at 11.30 but due to being Understaffed I waited nearly an hour to collect my item. Halforda corporate you need to do to better. There was a gentleman and his little boy waiting longer to be seen than me. I'd recommend going to an independent store, at least their grateful of your custom.

Worst customer service I have ever witnessed, left waiting in the bike dept for over 15 minutes while two assistants chatted! Took bike in 4 times now and the problem has not been fixed! Plus don't bother calling their phone number, it goes to a call centre in India somewhere that leaves you hanging on, and have no knowledge of Southport and even said it doesn't have a bike department?

I was told that maybe it's needs a new cassette and chain? I don't believe this to be possible as i have only had the bike 3 months and haven't ridden it that hard. The previous bike - same model - that was stolen last December! took 5 years before the cassette was replaced! This is either a manufacturing fault or it's not set up properly. I await your reply

Unfortunately not a great experience. I?d booked online for a new battery to be fitted. Arrived just a bit early to be told he?s on his break. 15 minutes after my appointment time he strolls towards my car. Any slower he would have gone backwards. I don?t want to sound unfair but he also didn?t look old enough to drive let alone fit a battery. Has a clipboard with ?**** clipboard ? drawn in felt tip been sallotaped to the back. Stands writing on this clipboard then strolls back in to get the battery and strolls back out. Starts undoing things and another colleague comes out to tell him he was doing something wrong. Anyway, changes battery, programmes battery, gives me paperwork. Sat there redoing clock date and time etc and drive home. Notice when I stopped the car, the start / stop wasn?t working. No it?s not the setting, I checked. Yes I am aware engine has to be in the right condition to work, but usually if it isn?t going to work the little light comes on. Nothing!! Something I?m going to have to deal with tomorrow!!

Absolutely excellent service today at Halfords Southport. I?ll be using them for MOT?s etc. However, Halfords should review the people at the call centre as they are giving out incorrect information. In looking up the phone number on the website I was directed to an 03 etc number. In short I was advised that the Halfords store Southport did not do any checks that included Tyres/air. They said I could purchase the oil I needed at the store and the staff could put it in the engine but that I?d need to go to a Formby (not a Halfords store) garage to have the Tyres checked. Formby is 6 miles away. When I got to Halfords Southport the staff were able to do everything, I think the call centre staff are going from incorrect information on your website. This surely needs updating and corrected.

Asked by the manager to bring childs bike in for assessment to part ex against £225 bike and accessory, on arrival was ignored and told she would be an hour after 1 hour 30 mins still ignored and told she was to busy so left after 2 hours manager rude and telling everyone she had staff off sick , after watching other staff for 2 hours she could have assessed the bike and passed me over to staff who were waiting for customers !!! So unfortunately halfords have lost £300 sale as I've taken my business elsewhere after being loyal to halfords for 40 years never been treated so badly

Easy to order and collect only one complaint that was the attitude of the person serving me with my collection he had a very surly attitude and never handed me my goods but threw it on the counter not good customer practice ,very disappointing.
