Date: 19/12/23 (Tuesday evening)I am writing this review with sheer disappointment and frustration regarding the appalling experience my friend had at the Argos store on Tuesday evening. My friend, who is 15 years old, attempted to purchase a simple brick phone, a purchase that should be straightforward. However, the level of discrimination and incompetence exhibited by the staff was beyond belief.To begin with, my friend was permitted to purchase an Alexa device without any issues. However, when he attempted to buy a basic brick phone, the Argos employee had the audacity to refuse the sale. This blatant inconsistency in their policies is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the competence and fairness of the staff.What adds insult to injury is the fact that the employee had the nerve to question where my friend got the money from. Excuse me? Since when is it the business of Argos to interrogate customers about their financial sources, especially when the purchase involves a legal and straightforward product?If there are age restrictions or specific purchasing criteria, they should be clearly communicated and enforced uniformly across all products. It is outrageous that my friend was singled out and treated unfairly based on arbitrary judgments made by an Argos employee.Argos should take immediate action to rectify this situation, reevaluate its staff training programs, and ensure that customers are treated with respect and dignity. Discrimination has no place in any reputable business, and it is disappointing to see such behavior at a well-known retailer like Argos.I strongly advise Argos to review and improve its customer service practices promptly to avoid further incidents like this. As a customer, I am deeply dissatisfied with the treatment my friend received, and I hope that this review serves as a wakeup call for Argos to address these issues and provide better service to all customers, regardless of age or purchase choice.

I wont shop at argos again, they wont refund on goods you return, they should be closed down just bay on line from now

will NEVER go back to argos again, bought a tv not cheap for a 32 in, after being told buy head office that the problem i described, would get a refund . in shop was greeted by a nice lady until she called a managerafter telling the prob, she told me in a rude manner that i would not be getting refund. lang story but its picture was not fit for purpose . i am livid . say no more

You?d would think that ordering something online and it being ready to collect would be a simple process. However I was stood around for over 10 mins waiting to collect 1 item. I thought the whole point of Argos and ordering online was for it to be a more convo isn?t experience. This was definitely not that.

Pathetic jobsworth. Bought a large item and was told they are not allowed to help in anyway even whilst wearing a high vis jacket in bright sunshine Health and safety gone mad. I will not be returning. I had to put a star on to post be didn't mean it

Fab service today from the staff at Argos.A member of staff greeted me on the door and asked if I was picking up an item for collection, which I was, so she took the order number and I went to the Desk.Another lovely member of staff Hayley, was very helpful and I received my item in super fast time.Very friendly, helpful and professionalstaffThank you :-)

Linda was extremely friendly with a huge smile and let me unpack my item so I could fit it in my bag. And helped me find my QR code. Linda is boss, give her a promotion!

I was looking for a fridge freezer. The woman on the till was helpful but I didn't like that she had to take my name, address and telephone number just to check when the next possible delivery date would be.This was prior to me ordering anything. Surely a postcode would have been suffucient?

Wouldn?t give my nine year old daughter her money back on a game that turns out you have to play online. She can?t play it. I have the receipt and returned it within three hours. They said that doesn?t mean anything. Really poor. Tesco would take it back in a heartbeat.
