Virgin money may have brought Yorkshire into the 21st century but at the cost of customer services.Be Warned, it is easier for someone to make a fraudulent transaction than it is for you to stop it.I found the telephone staff deliberately obstructive.

I was recently scammed resulting in all monies held in my accounts taken, after contacting the banks help desk I was told to go to the bank in bridge street for assistance.Bernadette one of the tellers supported and directed me in the required procedures to deal with this very distressing occurrence she was an absolute GEM !! I was in a very distressed and devastated state she provide support and reassurance that the bank would do their upmost to recover my loses she was with me over three hours on the phone to the bank fraud dept and others and I am happy to say the bank recovered all my funds within five days the service I experienced at this time was excellent Thank you and especially thank you to Bernadette.

Most of the staff are lovely and friendly but I have to say one member of staff who works behind the cashier desk with blonde hair and glasses is very miserable and doesn't even smile or speak a word, she's just like a robot, if your going to take a job working with the public you need to learn how to interact with them and be friendly and polite

I have banked with Yorkshire Bank for years, and nothing has ever had me wanting to look elsewhere.
You get the service that a local bank should give, the kind that suggests to you that you are a customer who matters, not just a number.
Another refreshing point is that you can go and use the cashiers without them trying to sell you financial products they know nothing about, which rather importantly you don't need, so thumbs up for that.
One point that counts against this branch is their location in the town centre of St. Helens, which certainly isn't open for business, especially if you plan on going by car. But really, that's not the banks fault.

Short staffed atm but there always helpful and queue depends on the other customers they won't be rude and hurry the queue and show everyone the same decency mostly apart from one staff member, amd the manager is also rather refreshingly nice
