Best supermarket around in the UK ? and they sponsor a cycling team ?

Large, clean shop. Couldn't find certain items but no staff members in store to ask. We had a £5 voucher so good value, but I'll stick with Aldi from now on.

I have used this supermarket for over a year. On a tight budget I found my money went a long way until a week ago. I did a big shop, and carefully checked sell by dates as I rarely have the chance to get to the store at the moment. A week later I have had to throw out about 90% of the fresh produce as it was rotten, rancid or plainly mouldy. I contacted the help line who promised they'd get the QA department to contact me. Nothing has happened. I feel this reflects a general lack of care on the part of this store. It cannot be coincidence that so many items were off. The fact that the company don't care speaks volumes. I won't shop here again.

As soon as I walked in, a little old lady in a Lidl uniform was stood near the entrance giving out magic mushrooms with chocolate on as testers. I had a few and my shopping experience turned for the worse, Santa Clause jumped out from behind the car batteries in ailse 3 before a tiger chased me out the store. David tho, the special needs trolley boy on £3.40 an hour, reassured me that the tiger was friendly so I think I'll finish my shopping for tents and homemade shaving kits now. O, I need butter as well... And a wallet

Wide variety of products in store, love the lasagne and fresh bread counter. Toilets not the cleanest but not the reason I go in so not that bothered. Staff really friendly, helpful and quick service.

There's always a good range of products at very competitive prices when I shop in Lidl at both of the King Street and Park Road Stores in St Helens.\\n\\nQuite often there are some amazing and unique items to Lidl in there Middle Isles either for me to use personally, or to buy as gifts for my family or friends.\\n\\nI would highly recommend anyone to give them a try for themselves if they haven't shopped in Lidl before!

Very cheap stuff, big variety of any section food. Saved me a lot of money, compare to the other shops, especially with the Nuts! (If you know where to find them, because they are in 3 or 4 sections across the shop).
The only con about is, that they offer just a few Vegan options, and you have to find them by yourself - you got to be a smart arse - reading a lot of products descriptions. After some time you get used to it though! ;)
Thank you Lidl Team!

Extremely surprised. I was expecting this to be similar to the Lidl found in St Helens town centre, however I couldn't have been more wrong.
Looks really modern inside, has a bakery that I would expect to find in a Tesco, huge range of products and facilities such as toilets and baby changing. Really has changed my mind on Lidl as a brand and won't hesitate to go again.

It's actually not bad. I have never stopped in Lidl. I have always favoured aldi but actually the fresh bakery and the always clean and inviting store makes me want to shop there. I did prefer the self service tills though.

A convenient place to run in and do a quick shop when a top up shop is needed. Parking is good here.
Product range is limited. The fresh fruit and veg are not good here. It is either turning in store or is off within a day or two, max, of purchase. Even when fridge.
Everything else is fine.
Always queues at the till. So add in extra time for this during your visit.
