Only popped in for two takeaway coffees but can?t get out of my head how lovely and cheerful the staff seemed even with the place being so busy.
I went in about 10:40am yesterday morning (13/8) and the blonde lady on the espresso machine was such a delight. Not only have I not seen someone work that fast but her joy was just infectious. I tried looking at her badge several times but couldn?t quite catch it, wish I?d asked her name but hopefully this can get back to her!

Reduced by one star after last visit due to slow service and general untidiness of shop. Yes, it was busier than usual, but that's no excuse for dirty cups and other dishes being left on tables this making it virtually impossible to find a seat.

Not our usual Costa, but it's close to some of the big shops in that area, so it is very handy. It's a great coffee shop with lovely staff.

Always had a great experience at this costa and think it?s the best one in St Helens. The staff are always extremely nice and welcoming, the food is nice, and drinks are always spot on. This time we got 2 hot chocolates and they were great.
The atmosphere in there can be a bit loud but it?s never unpleasant or uncomfortable, you are normally able to get a seat, it?s generally clean and tidy, the staff to the best to keep cleaning the tables but then it?s busy it can sometimes take a few minutes and this is to be expected.
It?s nice to see that the staff have a good relationship with many members of the public that come in and call them by the first name clearly they care about the people and don?t just want to serve drinks.
Parking: Plenty of parking in the retail park, disables parking located at the side of costa coffee, apparently 4/5 spaces. Other disabled spaces available around the retail park.
Kid-friendliness: Child friendly to a degree, no child activities in the coffee shop and no room to play but room enough for a pram to move around.
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance but door isn?t power assisted so could need someone to provide assistance if in a wheelchair as door is heavy.

Refuse to make a make a takeaway coffee and serve it with no plastic lid. Tell customers that a customer once burnt themself at one of their 2500 other cafes. Sit in and you can be trusted with no lid. Bad sustainability. Bad customer service. Trust your customers. Use cardboard lids if you really must force customer to have a lid #nolid
