This is quite a big Co-op, certainly much bigger than my local one back home, and it was clean and well stocked when I visited. I was only there for a hot sausage roll which was reasonably priced but a bit bland and lacking seasoning.

Usually fine but past few days they have been cancelling several different delivery orders made on different times and days and picking up the phone only to put down to leave engaged. If they don't wish to take orders then let the app know so people can not waste time waiting for orders to be cancelled and so that they can make other arrangements. It's not about being lazy, it's being disabled and expecting to be able to make an order if apps are saying the store is taking orders for delivery.

Just purchased a breakfast muffin from here cost £2.90 I have e never tasted anything as horrible in my life warm on the edges & cold in the .middle & the muffin was harder than Vinnie Jones. This is unacceptable get your act together

Most of the fresh produce is packaged making it impossible to buy a single onion or red pepper. Good costa machine.

I notice one of the other reviews says, '1 or 2 staff are very hard work'. I fully agree with this, but would actually say it's much higher than 1 or 2. On the whole, the staff in this place seem very unhappy, are unsmiling, unhelpful, and a couple of them are prone to angry outbursts. Out of all the different branches of the Coop that I use, I find Rainhill to be the most unpleasant in terms of customer service. To be fair, there are a few friendly, helpful members of staff, but these are largely outweighed by the miserable majority of them. Overall, quite an unenjoyable place to shop.
