Had Vindaloo and Rogan Josh curries delivered tonight. The food was absolutely lovely, hot and tasty. It was delivered earlier than stated by a lovely lady. We will definitely be ordering again.

The food was pleasant enough and a reasonable price but there was far too much of it and the chef must have had an accident with the red food dye - everything was an eye-popping scarlet which, without going into enormous detail, was very apparent the following morning.

Visited this restaurant for a meal with the family.
It was a beautiful cush setting, rather cosy if you will and felt very homely. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. Their generosity knows no bounds.
The food was fresh and mouthwateringly delicious, the selections they have were absolutely divine. I, for one, will highly recommend locals to visit this brilliant establishment. If you love an old school curry made with heart and Bengal devotion, then this is the only place to be.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian meals are available, just ask the server, they'll more than oblige.
Dietary restrictions: They will cater to all your needs
Parking: Free street parking available nearby and parking available just outside too.
Kid-friendliness: Families are welcome
Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately not as they're situated upstairs.

Haven't been for a while, glad to say food is just as good, excellent service and great value for money, especially the early evening offer. And the long overdue makeover has made it look so much fresher and more modern.

Lovely evening meal with the family last night, the food was excellent as always, and we were made to feel very welcome, the staff looked after us throughout the night, nothing was to much trouble, The Fort is a credit to the High Street, keep up the good work.

We booked a table on the 20/10 2023 for 8. P clock we had booked it a week in advance when we arrived we were rushed to order our food and then inf they needed to close the restaurant at 9 o clock due to a family wedding this night was for my 60 th birthday with friends which was ruined by being rushed I was very disappointed by this the booking should never have been confirmed

Great meal with family,catching up as we live up north, Tyne and Wear penshaw.We all had the special for £16.50 for four courses, all different meals & all were good.Servics was first rate.We will call back again sometime. ? Lovely night out with the family. X.
