Went here with my brother who is 17 and myself and my partner who are both 23. Sat down, ordered food, at no point were we told over 18s only past 9, there were no signs or anything. After food was ordered and started to be made, we were then asked for ID just to sit and eat, no alcohol was ordered. Told them my brother is 17, they said we needed to leave, told them we?d already ordered. Then they said we might be able to eat then leave, asked the manager who said no have to leave now can either box food (no mention of our drinks) or get refunded at the bar and told we should have checked rules online as they won?t let the branch have door staff, funny as no other eat in pub does this so why would we have thought to. Said would like a full refund, went to the bar, had to wait 5 minutes for someone to come to us. When refunded they told me it?ll take 3-5 working days, unacceptable since this could have been avoided. Not even offered a refund receipt, had to request this which also took ages to get. Manager was stood at the top of the bar the whole time staring us down with nasty looks and speaking to co workers. Never once approached us to offer apologies and explain. Very rude. Will not be returning here in future. Disgraceful service, nasty staff and a manager who sends her staff to do her dirty work while she watches down her nose!

Great wetherspoons, very busy on a Friday tea time, but all food was out in around 10 minutes, and cooked to perfection. The fish was outstanding tonight. Super traditional pub atmosphere - busy & quite noisy, but relaxed and pleasant. Wetherspoons Beer and food prices are unbeatable ( as low as £1.79 for a pint of beer) - an example to other chains of how to run successful pubs. Highly recommended ?

It's been 6 years since we came to this Wetherspoon. This is by far the best of all; staff and food.

I do visit quite regularly and it?s always been a good place to go for a cheap breakfast etc have to say it?s definitely not as good as it used to be the portions are small which ok it?s cheap but for example I ordered scrambled eggs on toast (apparently they use 3 eggs) and when it came over it looked pitiful I complained and the waiter said it was 3 eggs but they are small ?? also at least one coffee machine is usually on the blink went there Father?s Day and it was absolutely rammed with a huge constant queue for the one working coffee machine you would think they would they would have a box of instant coffee sachets for emergencies, it?s only saving grace is it?s cheap the food is ok atmosphere wise avoid on Fridays unless you like to hear conversations between people getting drunk and swearing their heads off or sit further near the back especially if you?ve got kids with you
