Not only is the coffee fantastic, but the people who work here are incredibly welcoming.

Lovely independent cafe tucked away a few mins from Liverpool One. Space to sit outside very good coffee and they do a lovely selection of pastries and sandwiches. Staff have always been great. There's a mezzanine upstairs if it's busy downstairs.

Wow! So happy I found this place. Best coffee in Liverpool! Tom is the friendliest chap, and Yasmin is super lovely too! They will treat you with kindness, care and tend to all your coffee needs swiftly! Thanks gang.

Pitty. This place is spiralling down hill fast. In need of a manager to save it FAST

I used to love this place - it was a charming little café with great coffee, friendly staff, and some brilliant vegan bakes. I live nearby, so it was a regular spot for me. Sadly, it?s gone drastically downhill.
The place is now filthy, the coffee is bitter and undrinkable, and there?s clearly been no stock ordered in a long time, just a few warm lemonades gathering dust on a shelf. The menu hasn?t changed in months, and there?s only ever one item available (spicy chicken avocado)
Worst of all, the man who served us had extremely poor hygiene, which made the whole experience really uncomfortable. Meanwhile, another man was just sitting outside sipping a tap water not exactly the kind of vibe that makes you want to stick around.
What happened to the lovely staff? Where?s the welcoming atmosphere gone? Why is it so dirty? Why is there no food or drink anymore? And how on earth did the coffee get this bad?
This place needs some serious attention and fast. I won?t be coming back any time soon.

This café has long been part of the L1 community, but sadly it?s fallen into disrepair. There?s been a huge drop in quality and the atmosphere has completely changed. I?m afraid you?ve lost a regular customer. I genuinely wish you the best of luck in turning things around hopefully new management can bring it back to life.

The bitterness of the coffee corresponds quite well with my feelings on how badly the standard has dropped in this place. It?s a brilliant location and a lovely spot to sit in the sun, but only go if you're fond of overpriced, ashtray-like coffee and burnt, over-textured milk. A place to visit if you enjoy a tap water in the sun.

The grumpy barista could not be bothered to give me a saucer for my coffee cup ??

Before getting onto the everyday stuff that has gone drastically downhill, the main reason for a review is that I have personally overheard one of the owners loudly using ableist language and laughing. I?ve also overheard a conversation alleging homophobic language and insults from the owners. It is definitely somewhere I cannot support from now on. This is a great example of how new owners can come in and completely ruin a company and 'brand' within a very short space of time. I've been a customer of Thoughtfully for about 6 or 7 years now, I go there to work most days, to socialise with friends and family, have become friends with people who have worked there. It's been a safe space, a good community café. New owners have come in and within the space of 2-3 months it has gone downhill dramatically. They have lost every single member of staff, along with a few who have started working there since they took over. The atmosphere changed quite quickly, and this transmits to the regular customers, as you would regularly overhear staff talking about issues with pay and tips being withheld, suppliers coming in and asking why they hadn't been paid, a lack of cleanliness and disregard for the neighbours that live around the café. It was somewhere I would regularly eat but in recent weeks there has often been a smell of drains in there, staff members that clearly haven?t got a clue about food hygiene (one member of staff was wearing the same glove for hours at a time, to cook, to wipe down tables, to go outside on their phone, to smoke). Bad management and a lack of clear leadership will only lead to something like this happening, as an unhappy workplace comes across to the customers and it?s not a happy place to visit. It?s a real shame what?s happened to the place, very disappointing all round.

Truly enjoyed my experience at this coffee shop. I ordered a hot chocolate to warm up and it was made to perfection. The service was fantastic. I highly recommended popping into this coffee shop while visiting Liverpool.
