Amazing service, food & atmosphere at the Three Piggies today. Seven of us for brunch & they couldn't be more welcoming .... the young lad serving us was brilliant. We've been before but never for brunch & we were really impressed.

Took 15 mins to be sat down Another 20 before someone dropped menus. Had to go to the bar to ask if we could order and the bar girl said it was table service. Another 15 mins later the bar girl came over to us as the floor staff still hadn?t come over. Attempted to order and what we wanted was unavailable. Changed the order and eventually got them - all came out at very different times. Asked for side plates as we were sharing- floor girl went away to get them and never came back so had to go to bar girl for side plates ourselves. Waited for someone to come over to ask for bill and nobody came so again had to go up to bar to pay before leaving. Not good experience I must say!

Nice breakfast, great in size. Service wasn't too intrusive. A bit cold inside even with the fire on. Would definitely go back.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramped entrance

It was our first visit to this venue, and it will be our last!.Considering the choice available to us on the location we should of eaten elsewhere, but now we know!.The food was OK quality but was served only warm and we chose from the mid afternoon menu. We were never asked if everything was OK, or if we had any allergies. After the meal we informed our waiter (Freya) that our meals were just warm and was told as we had ordered rare steaks this was to be expected?.She apologised but no offer of a reduction in our bill was offered for the inconvenienceYou only get one chance to impress and on this occasion was left very disappointed and will not visit again.Time of visit:14.32 ref:8516On reflection it is advertised as a "Canteen" so perhaps we should of expected this, canteen fare at restaurant prices.

I've ate breakfast at the Three Piggies for a number of years however, the last couple of times the quality of food has dropped. I went to today and ordered a breakfast to which the sausages had clearly been cooked yesterday and re heated today as they were very hard plus the black pudding had been left in the fryer to long which ended up crumbling on the plate. Very disappointed and will look to go elsewhere.

We go quite often to Piggies and its always spot on but today it was quite poor. We got chinese pork pancakes to start - 5 pancakes,3 pieces of cremated pork ?? One pancake left with nothing to go in it. I did inform the manager when she asked us how the starter that it was a poor portion to which she replied "i will let the kitchen know" Onto the chicken burger ! Three tiny pieces of overcooked chicken,a slice of cold processed cheese and the gloopiest lumpy gravy ever. The bun was a cheap bun unlike the brioche they used to be served in. This meal is now priced at £15 !!! We understand everything has gone up but the standard of food has dropped dramatically. I did speak to a manager who said it didnt look right when she brought it out ?? Why bring it then ? She also agreed that it was very poor for the price and that she didnt know what was going on in the kitchen today !! And that they had new chefs. She did offer us an alternative but we politely declined. So off home hungry we went.

We also visited the three piggies on the 17th of June. I?m sorry I have to disagree with the previous TripAdvisor review. The staff were very friendly attentive. It?s not a high end restaurant, I don?t believe it markets itself that way. It?s an nice place to have a good drink, which also serves quality bistro wholesome food. Our efficient and delightful waiter, Matthew, advised us what to eat and drink, he got it spot on. I would recommend anyone, in the Allerton area, who wants a nice place for a couple of drinks and maybe eat to go.

I visited Sa, June 17th, with a friend. Whilst there, we were a bit peckish, so we ordered the sharing cheese board platter, priced at £13.95. What a disappointment! It was so poor, both in presentation and content. It is supposedly served with a selection of biscuits, a house chutney and pickles. When it arrived, it was so unimaginably dull and unappetising. We weren?t even offered a plate each, having to just use a napkin on the table. Not even a cheese knife! A few measly pieces of drying-out cheese, THE tiniest bowl of poor, bitter-tasting ?chutney?, it was embarrassingly small for TWO people, not a pickle in sight, no explanation why, no alternative, a sprig of seen-better-days rocket (think that?s what it was, it just looked dead) and the most boring biscuits (about 5, again for 2 people), of which 3 were plain old boring cream crackers. Not 1 of the waiting-on staff came near us to ask if everything was ok, until a female came over to say the payment hadn?t gone through, and could we pay. It was at this point she casually remarked did we want plates, as she could clearly see us eating off a napkin. I politely mentioned to her the pickles appeared to be missing - she returned to say that there weren't any, and left us a small bowl of gherkins. No apology. Nothing. And still not a ?is everything ok?, which I?m guessing is probably because she didn?t really care. No-one seemed to, especially the ?chef?, who threw this mess together. And I use the term ?chef? very loosely. You have the actual audacity to charge 5 pence short of £14 for this! My friend ate 1 cracker with some of the stale cheese, and he was done. I tried the chutney with a bit of the cheese, in the hope that it might liven it up, but it did NOT taste good. The whole experience was poor, at best. And we had to pay for the privilege. I suggest you re-evaluate your ?sharing cheese board? and enquire if chef could, perhaps, put a little imagination into a more appealing, satisfying, value-for-money offering - this current offering is a disgrace! And you don?t even have the integrity to respond to my email. There are plenty of other venues in the area who won?t rip you off.

Disappointed . Staff ignored us as we waited for the menus and it took us about 20 minutes to order drinks . As we were starving we decided to get some coffees to take away whilst we find somewhere else to eat . Took another 20 minutes for our coffees . They were cold and disgusting . Definitely will not be back
