It's a wetherspoons what more can you say. Beer is reasonably priced,staff are nice but they're proper stingy with the chip portions. I've had on average 14 chips on the side,as few as 8 and as many as 15. Tim Martin is a chip snatcher ?

Not the best spoons you'll find and the place seriously lacks ventilation when the Aircon isn't on. My fish looked more like a fish finger.

I have visited the Childwall Fiveways a few times recently and each visit. On one of these occasions, I took my mum for a bite to eat and drink.
The menu has lots to offer for snacks and mains and can be bought late into the night when most pubs have finished serving food.
I would recommend here for a quick bite to eat or to spend the evening with friends.
The selection of beers and spirits is quite comprehensive and being a Weatherspoons pub, the prices are very low. We ordered for mum, a medium sized pizza with chips and I ordered the large mixed grill. The portion sizes were large and we were both impressed with the value for money of our chosen meal
Overall, it is a good pub with bar meals at a reasonable price.

Roast tasted bland. Potatoes were hard. Mum's chips were cold so her meal went back and instead of giving her a fresh meal of fish and chips. They had no chunky chips so they gave her skinny fries with her original half eaten fridge which had gone cold whilst waiting. Paid full price. Shocking. But lovely place.

Love going here for lunch snd drinks with the girls. It's a lovely pub with a good sized beer garden and fast, friendly service.

Ordered Pasta Alfredo and got a childs? portion sized meal. Ordered Katsu Curry and again, although a little larger, the size was not an adult size. Apparently, head office sends these small portions out and it is not the establishments fault, however after mentioning the small portion, the waitor didn?t sound interested. There is no way we can be the first to complain but still nothing is done about it. Quite an expensive experience considering the plate size.
