Have not been in this pub for years last time I was there it was a dump went there on the 17/2/24 for a party and was surprised how nice it has been refurbished and decorated. There was a nice atmosphere staff were excellent so overall I would give it a 8/10 and will be going back to sample the food and see if it is as good as it looks ?

Stayed the one night. The room was very clean and a decent size.not too far out of town, so it's a great location. Ideal if you are going to Anfield for a game..didn't try the food but what we saw looked nice.definitley stay there again.not forgetting the warm welcome and the friendly staff. I've been for a few family parties, and the food laid on has been decent, and the service is very good. Great staff are very good

Got a roast dinner from here a few weeks ago and ended up with a case of severe food poisoning after eating it. The dinner was luke warm when it arrived and it just didn't taste right. About 5 hours after eating it I was the sickest I've ever been in my life. It was quite late in the day when ordering so don't know if it had been sat there for a while or what. We contacted them about it and they said that somebody would be in touch and they never have. We used to order from here quite regularly but never will again.

We were recommended to come here for a carvery prior to going to the match. The pud was really busy and I can see some of the other reviews point around the atmosphere if you were unconfident or timid in a busy place as it was packed. We'd pre booked and found a staff member who was brilliant and found us a table. The service was fantastic and the food came out so quick for our children, who didn't have a carvery. My wife and I had the carvery and it was delicious. Honestly one of the best we've had, the gravey was beautiful. Overall, it was fantastic service, beautiful food and great value for money. We're just gutted we're from so far away but we'll definitely be back.
