I had a fantastic experience at the Tesco Currency Exchange, thanks to Pamela and Jo. Their customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Both were incredibly friendly, professional, and efficient, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. They took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I got the best possible service. It?s rare to come across such helpful and genuinely kind staff. Pamela and Jo are a real credit to Tesco ? thank you both for going above and beyond!

I've just been served my a girl in this store. She worked as hard as possible to do the minimum amount of work. She couldn't even pass the items down the slope. Just scanned and dropped. Maybe she was hacked off because serving me interrupted her chat with a mate. Poor... and it's not the first time I've experienced bad service in this store

No clothing, hardly call it a Superstore

This particular store is much like any other Tesco Superstore, but they do tend to suffer with stock issues namely short shelf-life items which, unfortunately, tend to have a habit of appearing in my Click + Collect orders.
Despite complaining to staff at the collection point, customer services, and duty managers over the past 12 months the issue is persistent. It's reached the point whereby I no longer order certain perishable products for collection and will pick them myself from inside the store. I now check the expiry/use by dates on all collected products before I'll sign for my order which obviously makes the process lengthier and takes up more time of the staff.
In the most recent collection order, I had to ask for at least half a dozen products to be replaced due to the expiry/use by dates falling short of the freshness period shown within the Tesco app. Some were due to expire/use by the date of collection!
I often find that some of the staple products I order week-in week-out often go out of stock suggesting supply issues or poor stock management. For example, Tesco?s own brand orange juice from concentrate, tender stem broccoli, fresh liver, dog food, cooked roast chicken (whole and thighs) have all been out of stock for app ordering in the past few months.
All points to management issues as the show floor staff are generally nice and friendly.
Sept 2024 update: lots of ?sorry not available? labels covering the prices of in-stock items in store mean you have to find the products in the app in order to get a price. Also, Click and Collect pick-up offered up a can of soup with dead insects stuck into the recesses rim of the tin (see photo).

"A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that the security guard who used to greet customers at the front of the Tesco store on Allerton Road was no longer there. When I asked a colleague, I was informed that Kolan, the security guard, had been made redundant and taken on a new role within the store.
Kolan wasn?t just any security guard; he was incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. He always engaged with customers, was attentive to young children, and had a real presence that made shopping at this Tesco store a delightful experience. I was sad to hear about the change, but today, I saw Kolan on the shop floor, and it was wonderful to be greeted by his familiar smile and cheerful demeanour.
I'm so pleased that the Tesco manager recognized his value and kept him as part of the team. Kolan is truly an asset to the Tesco on Allerton Road. If every Tesco store had a Kolan, it would make Tesco an even more wonderful place to shop. Thank you to the management for keeping such a remarkable person on the team!"

The scan and shop is a complete waste of time in Tesco Woolton Village as everyone who scans at the till are queueing as well so it does not acheive what the purpose it was intended for, it was like a scrum I will certainly not go back as the staff are as helpful as a chocolate fireguard and bordering on Rude!

What you'd expect from a megastore it's got isles and isles of pretty much everything.
I've only given it 3 stars though, as I'm getting fed up of staff racing round doing the shopping for the click and collect seeing you being there as an inconvenience. They race around with huge carts expecting you to quickly move out their way!
