Frustrating and disappointing.
The service was poor and staff don't care what they do, no one wants to help or work, dont check their products before selling, again the till dont check which if they did would be stopped and issue. Got some shoes instore after trying on ot got taken to the till, from then to the till somewhere it went wrong, I got to my hotel and realised it wasn't even a pair it was 2 different shoes I had been given in a box, annoyingly It was late so had to rush next morning before my train home, waited till opening and they said they'd look to see if they have the correct pair in they didnt seem to care as didn't ask which was the one I was originally wanting, after minutes of looking television said they dont understand and unfortunately cant get the pair for me but o luckily got my refund for it and had to rush to get the train. The lady doing refund was the only one that was decent within the 2 days but for opening time everyone seemed tired and like the didn't want to be there.

Really disappointed as we were at rhe door at 4:50 PM today Sunday and store closing time is 5:00PM. They guy stopped us to enter the shop. I requested him that there are about 10 minutes left but he refused the entry and said we are closed. Can you compensate all the time i wasted and no entry was allowed.
Can you share the SD policy in this regard please???
Remember it was 4:50 PM and entry was refused.

Rude staff no wonder its closing down!! 4 members of staff were asked for help today, 4 members of staff said they'd come straight to me and none did. Walked out and saved myself just shy of £150, might not be much in the terms fir some people, but a day's wages fir others

Great store. The staff dont have an attitude problem like JD staff. Great staff here and very polite and helpful . I was served by a very polite young man who actually said I'll be with you in a minute.
I didn't even have to fight for his attention. His name was Micheal and he has a cousin called Emma that works on the tills she was equally as polite helped with my friends refund and exchange with ease. Smiled, polite and friendly.
Overall probably one of the best shopping experiences I've had in Sports Direct in L1.

I am writing to express my disappointment. On 08.07.2025, I purchased two Nintendo Switch games. However, the unprofessional cashier finalized the sale without placing the game discs inside the boxes. I had to remind them to check the discs, which led to a 25-minute delay at the till.
Eventually, I was told that one of the games (priced at £39.99) was no longer in stock, and I was issued a refund. While I appreciate the refund, I was left without the product I intended to buy, and now I am unable to purchase it elsewhere due to limited funds until the refund is processed (which may take up to 5 days).
This experience was very frustrating and has caused me inconvenience and disappointment as a customer. Even though I really like Sports Direct as a brand, I would not recommend shopping at this particular store due to the lack of experience, poor organization, unhelpful attitude, and unprofessional behavior of the staff. They seemed unaware of their own stock and were not able to assist properly, which made the whole experience frustrating and disappointing.

A very lovely young gentleman has helped me yesterday in the shop i needed to buy about 6 shoes he was always smiling and very helpful, such a great staff and made the whole experience better ... I wish I had his name.. and the cashier was so lovely as well .. thank you for your help it meant a lot

Vile rude nasty staff all of them not helpful at all dont even talk to you I think you need to get new staff they just click watch constantly no one wants to help I would never set foot in this shop again and you con people with bags all you get is a bag you have to 3 for sham of a shop

Went yesterday with my partner to Sports Direct inside Liverpool One to try and find new sports shoes for her. We were served by a an employee named Dylan who was very professional, polite and made this experience an excellent one. Thank you Dylan.

Service is just too slow. There was just only one til opened despite of having a very long queue. Other staffs were just walking around. Whoever was serving that only til was taking ages to serve customers.

Disappointing Customer Service Experience
I recently visited the Sports Direct store in Liverpool One with my wife and had an unfortunate experience that I feel compelled to share. While shopping, we noticed a piece of baby clothing displayed on the third shelf?quite high and difficult for us to reach. Naturally, we sought assistance and asked a staff member nearby for help.
To our disappointment, the staff member took a look at the item and then replied, ?I don?t work in clothes. You need to ask someone else.? This response felt dismissive and unhelpful. As a customer service representative, one would expect him to either assist in retrieving the item himself or at least locate the appropriate colleague who could help us. Instead, we were left feeling as though our needs as customers were not valued.
Good customer service is not just about knowing one?s specific department but about creating a seamless and positive shopping experience for customers. In a large store like Sports Direct, staff members are naturally more familiar with the layout and internal processes than customers. As such, it seemed both logical and courteous for this employee to proactively find someone who could help us, rather than directing us to seek assistance elsewhere.
While I understand that each employee may have specific roles or areas of expertise, basic courtesy and a willingness to assist should be part of the job. Unfortunately, this encounter reflected a lack of accountability and care, which is not what I expect from a prominent retail store like Sports Direct.
I hope that this feedback encourages the management team to address these gaps in customer service and provide additional training where necessary. Small actions, like going the extra mile to assist a customer, can make a big difference in creating a positive shopping experience.
