I took my 6 year old granddaughter for her first eye test. She was quite nervous but Thomas was wonderful with her.
The girls who assisted with the frames went out of their way to find a selection of frames small enough for her.

The treatment was very polite and respectful, and the quality of the glasses is excellent and very comfortable.

I've visited Specsavers for the previous times for my eye and audiology appointments and each time I have been greeted with friendly members of staff from the door, all the way to my contact and eye appointment.
Very efficient, and effective service and each time things have been explained to me clearly.
Service is always superb!

I had an excellent experience as far as staff, opticians & products were concerned during my visit. But the multiple choice questionnaire, emailed to me later, was a bit frustrating. The choice of answers didn't always apply, but I had to tick one to get to the next part. It would be more accurate research to have an 'other' comment box after each question.

My boyfriend goes to this specsavers and almost every time he?s been in, they have been rude. They try and upsell him but he?s not looking to spend a lot of money so when he declines, their attitude does a 180 and they just give him rude blunt answers. I understand that commission based work can be difficult but please don?t take it out on your customers when they aren?t interested. There?s been times also that he?s waiting to get served and staff will just ignore him cuz they?re having a conversation. One time he was told to sit and wait and someone will come to serve him and he had to wait around 40 mins because they were having a conversation about facials. It?s kind of a joke tbh. 40 mins is crazy. You?re paying staff to ignore customers and talk about facials for 40 mins. If that?s how it works there then hire me too since you?re giving away money ?

My wife and I spent just under £1000 pounds having lenses fitted to our own frames.
Tim (one of the directors) actually dealt with us.
2 days after collecting our glasses we went back to have the glasses adjusted and were told that we would have to pay £5 for any adjustments.
This was not mentioned when we made our original purchase.
It normally takes several adjustments to get vari-focals correct and an ethical, reputable optician would always do this as part of their service.
We have never been charged for adjustments at any opticians.
When I disputed the charges, I was told that it was Tim the director's decision and unless we paid they would not adjust our glasses.
Be very careful dealing with this business

I normally visit another store but they didn't have an appointment time I could make so I chose the Lord street branch. It was really lucky that this happened because the service I received, particularly from Pav the optometrist, was phenomenal. I had concerns about my eyes due to some other health issues. Pav listened to me carefully, updated my file appropriately and did a very thorough assessment, clearly explaining all results to me in an easy to understand manner. He was knowledgeable, professional and caring - such a combination is often hard to find these days. I'm grateful chance happened to have Pav assess my eyes on this occasion and I will specifically request his assistance in future. The other members of the store were all professional and friendly too, and the availability was perfect for me on this occasion. I plan to only use the Lord st branch in future because the care was outstanding. Thank you!
