I came to the store to exchange my shoes for a larger size. I checked online if I could exchange school shoes (their policy allows for exchanging parts of the school uniform). When I went to the store, the customer service line was long, so I decided to ask a staff member there to make sure I could exchange the shoes. The staff member confirmed it, and I waited in line for 20 minutes. The woman said it wasn't possible, that I had to exchange them at Argos (I ordered the uniform on the Sainsbury's website TU, NOT FROM ARGOS). Lucky ARGOS was there, but they said they didn't respect the return and exchange policy from TU, which doesn't make much sense because they ship from TU, NOT ARGOS. The staff need more training to avoid spreading false information. The manager was nice enough to apologize to me and agree that it doesn't make sense.

Bought a £30 amazon gift card here. It had been tampered with. It was worthless. Went into store. Steve the food manager refused to refund and told me to contact amazon despite my contract being with sainsburies. Staff admitted there had been similar problems with itunes cards but refused to help. Never buy a gift card here.

I love shopping at this Sainsbury's as it's so convenient to get to by bus - the no 26 and 53 stop is only a few metres from the entrance when travelling from the city centre and just across the road (via a traffic-light controlled pedestrian crossing) if going in the other direction towards the city centre.
The range of products is superb, with a large clothing, footwear and household section as you enter the store plus a large range of newspapers, magazines and gifts, and an Argos store with collection point.
The bread section is vast - often with cut price goods near to closing time - and the fresh fruit and vegetable fixtures are always packed with a wonderful selection of fresh produce, including organic items at reasonable prices.
The customer service team members are extremely helpful and friendly - and there are often huge discounts available, particularly on clothing, with fitting room facilities near to the toilet areas.
I have always found the store to be super-clean, with aisles clearly identified by overhead signs. Announcements are kept to a minimum with low volume background music playing at other times. The check-out system is fast - even in peak hours and during bank holidays - and there are plenty of self-service tills available, including a large area for checking out trolley loads, next to the basket check-out, with an extra long space for placing goods on once they have been scanned.
All in all, a great experience which is why I'm a regular shopper there. My thanks go to all the Sainsbury's team members - you do a fantastic job even when working under pressure and near to closing times!

I have shopped at this Sainsbury's since it first opened. I find it even easier to shop there now I can use my mobile as a checkout on the move. Alway clean, helpful staff, what more can an old man want.
