This branch of Sainsbury's is in quite a good location, being both a part of the St John's Mall and opposite Liverpool Lime Street Station. I called in here after getting into the station, to grab a few drinks ready to take into Anfield to watch Manchester City versus Liverpool, with this being in such a location especially to the station and taxi rank, this was my main decision to come here while also using my knowledge of Liverpool through previous visits to the city, which sadly have never included a visit to this branch. This branch is only a small store, hence the title Sainsbury's Local and is more of a to-go store to get things to eat and drink,, for now rather than to do a weekly shop, similar to a Morrisons Local (Before they all shut down), Little Waitrose or Tesco Express perhaps. The store was a decent size, I mainly called in to grab a few drinks, the selection wasn't great, they did only stock one flavour of Lipton Iced Tea which sadly was peach, which is the only one I don't like. I opted for a freshly squeezed orange juice which was a decent price, and competitive compared to the other drinks despite being a Sainsbury's own label product. This store seemed to near enough do everything to a very minor level with a focus on sandwiches and drinks and is yet another example of Sainsbury;'s Local having a keen interest in locations near train stations, for example coming from Manchester Piccadilly they have two branches, a new one as you walk up to the station and one actually inside the station, so using these stores as an example this is average, hence not good enough to earn anything over a mid to high two star rating.
