Visited Accrington Matalan earlier today with 2 shirts too return. Received as a gift I had no receipt. Told that they couldn't swap them as I had no receipt due to a large number of shoplifting occurring. Well I'm guessing this is the result of everytime you go to pay they want you too use the self service even though a member of staff is behind the till..encouraging shoplifting I would say. What a way too treat loyal customers.

Poor experience with Matalan?s Click & Collect.
The website showed items were in stock in stoke-on trent, longton store, and available for same-day collection. However, after ordering, I was told by customer service to wait a full day ? and the collection email only arrived after two days. This caused inconvenience as I urgently needed the luggage bags,
Wouldn?t recommend relying on their online stock system or collection timeframes if you?re in a hurry.

Absolutely disgusting customer service especially when the call centre is in south africa I put the phone down twice couldn't understand them also been trying to get a refund for the last 3 weeks email after email won't shop online again are go instore BE WARNED.

DISGUSTED. My mum is 80. She works Mondays and Fridays In a hospice charity shop she works all day. She has been given a blue line card and was refused the discount because she doesn?t have an app on a mobile phone. She is not tech savvy. The manager was apologetic but couldn?t do anything to help Ageists comes to mind. I was extremely annoyed and felt so sorry for her

My parcel is showing as delivered to my CLOSED front door when I was out for the day..... no parcel there when I got home!!!! Matalan are still being awkward over 2 weeks later about giving me a refund..... ive filled out TWO forms and now they want me to email the police for a crime ref number and report it all over again.... this is MATALANS JOB!
Im now left without wedding outfits and out of pocket. I will never shop here again and would advise others to AVOID also!!!! TERRIBLE INCOMPETENT ''CUSTOMER SERVICE''

Can you please have a little bit of respect for your customers, can you please use a decent delivery company that will deliver properly, i shouldn't be asked to play detective around my neighbourhood to look for my missing package. Evri as everyone knows are normally the worst delivery company in uk. Are matalan happy to treat customers like this?

Totally dissatisfied with Matalan. I've been waiting for over a week & a half for my order to be delivered. Contacted customer services about my order not arriving. Told to wait. It obviously is missing. Meanwhile they have my money & it seems they are reluctant to refund me.

Called at Warrington Matalan what a disgrace the level of service has gone down.I asked a girl have you got any more long skirts in stock her reply was er um er think we might have and walked off. Obviously didn't give a toss.We then got to the till there was only 1 till open the rest self service I asked for a a carrier bag we only have bags for life not would you like one.He continued to serve us asked for the money and not one please or thank you through the whole transaction.who is training these kids to serve customers Obviously no one really bad won't be going again unless you want me to train the staff

Absolutely shocking service received from Matalan head office received within the last 8 days.I'm not sure what is more shocking- the lack of service, or lack of common sense from staff. Particuarly 'Calvin' and 'Nakita'- both 'team leaders', but it seems more like the blind leading the blind.Multiple promises made by both individuals, and none were kept.I received a hilarious response from Nakita whilst speaking to her on the PHONE. She stated: ''I have no means here at the office, to make that call''- I'm not sure if you're aware Nakita, but your currently using a phone to speak to myself? I believe this shows you definitely have the means. What she meant to say was, this isn't our usual way to communication with the other team, and I am not willing to do that.This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my whole life.Matalan- do better. You could start by hiring people that actually do their job.
