The products offered are of good quality and reasonably priced; however, there is a need for improvement in customer service.
I encountered an issue with an older female staff member, who has brown hair and wears glasses. During my visit a few days ago, I was asked for id when purchasing ibuprofen. I understand that the policy requires customers to be at least 16 years old to buy painkillers, and I certainly appear to be over that age. I presented my university student ID, which included my date of birth, but she appeared displeased and insisted that I provide a government-issued ID, dismissing my school ID as unacceptable. (I?ve never faced any problem when purchasing painkillers) Additionally, she was on a phone call the whole time when she?s working.
As my friend and I left the store, we just looked at each other and said ?well that?s mean and unprofessional; she also seemed unhappy and miserable working.?
Consequently, I opted to purchase my painkillers at a nearby Boots store instead with no issues, done in a minute.

Home bargains is one of my go to stores cleaning products. However some stores are better than others. Went in here 5th oct 24 @ 14:46 was served by older lady. Was not greeted, or acknowledged whilst serving nor thanked for my customer was miserable the whole entire. Why work in customer service if you don?t want to interact or have skills to?? Didn?t see the Liverpool hospitality was told must of missed home bargains?

I had an unpleasant experience due to one of the staff members Yvonne. I had wanted to purchase a gift item for a child however there was no pricing displayed for that item and couldn?t find a staff member on hand, so I proceeded to the tills to check the price whilst I pay for the rest of my items. I approached Yvonne on the till and before she scanned my items, I asked her if I could check the price of the item. She rolled her eyes, scanned the item and told me the price. I told her I?ll no longer require it and she rolled her eyes again saying ?that?s why we?re not meant to do price checks on the tills?. She called for her supervisor which fortunately she wasn?t far away, to void the item and then Yvonne told me I should have asked a member of staff on the shop floor instead. She had such a bad attitude. I told her I couldn?t find someone, and her supervisor who I saw earlier was guiding a visually impaired gentleman out of the shop. She couldn?t even hand me my receipt and dumped it with the rest of my items., I wonder, why such an attitude just to price check. Surely you are paid to help customers. There wasn?t long queue and I wasn?t holding people up.I could never talk to my customers or patients like that. She really needs training on basic customer service, or just get a job that?s not customer facing if she?s so anti social. The store was clean and well presented. Well done to the supervisor helping the visually impaired man, it?s nice to see people helping each other. My 1 star reflects my experience today with Yvonne.
