I was booked in for four new tyre installations and an MOT on the same day. Before dropping off my car, I specifically requested that the tyres be changed first, followed by the MOT. However, the garage did the complete opposite they carried out the MOT first, failed it, passed it the same minute, and only then installed the new tyres. I don?t understand why this was done when it was clear I was booked in for new tyres, and now my car has an unnecessary failed MOT record on its history. Truly disappointed with this experience.

Hi had 2 tyres fitted today the guys were amazing and done a brilliant job i couldn't fault them the only thing is you need to sort the garage out its very untidy and cluttered if HS walked in they would have a field day you need a tidy up

Air con diagnostic. Absolute waste of money. Despite being told regas didn?t solve the problem, that?s all they know what to do. Save your money, save your time and find some professionals.

Took my car in for a brake check, was told I needed discs and pads all round. Less than 300 miles later and both rear calipers seized so back for more work. Handbrake wasn't quite right after the second lot of work. MOT at another garage highlighted corroded brake pipes which had been covered in grease to hide (no idea why!) less than 300 miles later and now I'm getting a warning that I need new pads again!! Complaint was ignored. Avoid!
*Update* The response from Halfords just shows their level of incompetence, if they'd actually read the review, they'd knows I've already tried to 'reach out' and had no reply.

Unable to access the part I needed for my car to pass the MOT so I had to find another garage. Wait for the part to come in and then get it and the get it fixed by another garage . Due to work and bank holidays this time scale went over the government allocated time frame so they expected me to pay again . I'm disgusted in the company policy (the staff were very nice and friendly ). So I will take my car to the local garage who fixed my car who also do MOT's and are customer focused. So a complete waste of time even going to this garage.

Deserves only ZERO STARS. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Halfords. I booked my vehicle in for a full service and MOT, expecting a professional and thorough job. However, I was shocked to receive a final reminder letter from the DVLA, which prompted me to check the gov.uk website?only to find that my MOT had not been updated at all.
This kind of negligence is completely unacceptable. Not only was I put at risk of legal penalties, but it also raises serious concerns about whether the full service was carried out properly?if at all. It?s clear that this garage lacks the attention to detail and reliability one would expect from a reputable service provider.
I will never return to this garage, and I strongly advise my family and friends to avoid it as well. Trust is essential when it comes to vehicle maintenance, and unfortunately, this experience has shown that trust was completely misplaced.

Took my car in for a suspension and steering systems check, the garage told me i needed both rear shock absorbers and both front tracking rod joints replaced and quoted £700. Took it for a second opinion at another garage and they said only one of the rear shock absorbers needed to be replaced and said they ?had no idea what they were talking about? in regards to the front tracking rods. Wouldn?t trust this garage again seems like they just lied to get more money out of me.
