Went there to change oil and filter in my car. Being told soon as it will be done I'll get a call from them. Well that never happened. Another thing is that the car got loads of dirty oily marks inside on the door, steering wheel and gear stick. Didn't got my recipt which was meant to be send via e-mail. So overall job being done but the customer service is not at it's best hence 2 stars.

Dropped my car off on my own (23 young woman) for an MOT. When I called to check if it was ready 1.5 hours later, the guy very carelessly told me it had failed for some random electrical reason which sounded made up on the spot. My car is in perfect condition and I?ve had no issues with it. I then brought my boyfriend with me to pick it up, and the guys on the desk said to us that it had failed due to the passenger indicator not working. Didn?t mention the ?electrical faults? while my boyfriend was there. I clicked on the hazards, and everything worked perfectly fine. Within about 10 mins the men had printed me a new ?PASS? certificate and sheepishly/bluntly apologised for pointlessly failing me. Yet another example of men in car garages trying to take advantage of young women - nice work boys??

Do not recommend any of the free services advertised (brake check, cam belt check or 5 pont check) dropped it off at 8:30 and told I would be called some time in the morning. I returned at 12:30 with no call and my car check hadn't been started. The free checks are a waste of time.

Got 4 tyres replace, dropped off at 12:15pm, never called me to tell me to pick it up. Car was on the street when I arrived 5 mins before closing time. Dust cap missing on a tyre. Don?t bother with these clowns, worst service.

Took car in to get 4 new tyres appointment was 11-30 arrived at 11 to get told would have to leave car with them all day so I refused so they said will have done for 1pm rang at 12-50 to tell me tyres had only just came in an lads had gone on dinner so told them to refund me an il pick car up when get there no wheels on car they put them back on parked it outside never put brake on an car started to roll into a busy road it?s happened twice now in 3 years an you have to pay to book your slot

Took my car in for a service I told them I had a leak from coolant system so they knew that already asked them to give me a price which they never I rang them again for a price and they said bring the car in and well have a look they said i had a leak which I knew already kept the car for 6 hrs to say i would have to book it into another garage as they didn't deal with it Unable to use car since visit warning light on dashboard on which wasn't on before plus my car keeps cutting out which it wasn't before not happy as they said car was okay to use as long as kept coolant topped up

Had tyres changed and got an alert almost as soon as I?d left the garage - pulled over and was shocked to find the tyres dangerously overinflated to 45psi! Sorted this, then found the car very shaky at high speeds - wheels hadn?t been balanced at all. Furthermore, one of the tyres developed a slow puncture where it had been put on sloppily against a corroded rim. Took it to a different garage as I had very little confidence they?d give me my car back in a safe condition.I notice Im not the only recent reviewer to have their tyres dangerously overinflated - I am in disbelief that a garage could be regularly making such an elementary mistake.

I have brought in my Peugeot 5008 for routine servicing on the 11th of September 2023. Following the service, the report noted brakes in good condition with nothing to keep an eye on. The next day, the brake system failed with the electronic hand brake stuck. The "brake system failure" indicator came on. I contacted Halfords who asked me to contact an auto-electrician as Peugeot are known to have electrical problemsAn auto-electrician scanned the car and reported that my brake pad, discs and callipers are fused together. He also noted a different type of brake fluid in the container and said the wrong fluid was filled in my system. I took the car back to Halfords and showed one of the technicians there the brake fluid. His response was ," Someone made a mistake and put in the wrong fluid". After 24hrs , I was asked to pick up the car and the pads spontaneous lock and spontaneous unlock onto the discs. I was advised to go to the dealers.The car was assessed by Stellantis Old swan and noted a bent Brake Servo. Cost of repair and labour was £1192. On getting back to Halfords Smithdown, I was told that "they never touched my brakes and only performed a visual inspection". This was false and I was given a report of a brake and disc check and they reported check the brakes, discs and callipers on returning the car to them. I reported to Halfords since Saturday the 30th and was told I would be gotten back to on Monday the 2nd of October (yesterday) by the manager. I have not got any contact from themI have also reported to Customer services and got no response. Since the 12th of September 2023, my car's brake system has been totalled following an error at Halford's Smithdown and they have refused to take responsibility.I will go ahead and repair my car and fill for damages. Halfords Smithdown Road Liverpool are not reliable

Booked in for a DPF flush. Technicians attempted the procedure several times, and ran a diagnostic. When they couldn?t carry out the procedure, they refunded me and recommended a local diesel specialist. Very impressed

Had a phone call whilst on the way to an MOT to say it was cancelled due to faulty machinery. Car was subsequently booked in a week and a half later for it's MOT and I was advised I would be notified if there would be any issues. Attempted to contact multiple times that week to check if the MOT would go ahead as I had to move work around to take it but my phone call was never answered. I was contacted the day before my appointment and told it would be cancelled again as the same fault had not been fixed. They were aware that my MOT was due to run out the next day and had I known I would have been able to book an MOT elsewhere. When contacted no apology was made and when I mentioned I had attempted to contact them they said the phones weren't working (despite always ringing) and was told it was tough luck and they couldn't do anything about it. I have gotten in touch with head office three times and on each occasion advised somebody would get in touch with me to discuss this and I have not once received any contact from Halfords. Unreliable and unhelpful, would avoid

AVOID -Very poorly run - the garage is a mess which IS AN IMMEDIATE warning sign - left car with them and when picked up had additional miles on it no idea why this should be - dried tyre lubricant all over the tyres looks awful - what would it take to wipe this off when damp - even didnt come off after car wash - had to adjust tyre pressures later as incorrect and warning light on dash - the young lads in this garage are poorly led and managed - probably wouldn't know what a torque wrench is if someone hit them over the head with it - as say AVOID - - the place is a mess with staff who dont really care about the job they are doing.
