This used to be a lovely pub with an atmosphere. Unfortunately recent visit was awful. Main meal was brought out 2 minutes after the starter and waitress rude. Even worse when we complained to the manager his words were what do you want me to do about it. Fish and chips came out with garden peas and not mushy peas. Pub was virtually empty. Head office only gave a bog standard response. I had gone to celebrate my birthday and it put a dampener on it.

We stayed three days while visiting family in the area. Room was comfortable and good size.
Had breakfast each day which was good and well priced.
Overall a pleasant experience and very convenient if you need somewhere to stay in this area.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable couple of days stay, this incuded a family members wedding reception held at the Chillwall Abby. The food was lovely, the staff are owner went above and beyond to make everything just right. Would highly recommend a visit, and will definitely be going back again myself

We hired the private room this weekend for our annual kids Christmas party.
The room is a great size and the team couldn?t do enough to get everything ready - even adding Christmas decorations to make it look more festive!
We pre-ordered food for 17 kids and it all arrived at the time requested, and all at once so the children could sit and eat together - which was lovely! Catering for allergies too.
Will definitely be booking again for future events.
Thank you to the team for making the day run so smoothly.

Gorgeous little pub, friendly staff, we had ordered food and were informed there may be a delay due to a table of 20 being in. We didn't wait too long though.
The roast dinner was nice everything was hot, turkey was good the veg was cooked well, all in all a nice roast. Will come again.
