The main reason we chose this place is that it's is supposed to stay open until 20:00. However, just before 19:00, we were told that the system is down and that they are need to close for the day.
I really do not understand what's the connection between the system and us sitting at the cafe after ordering drinks and food for 4 people. And even then, at least offer some kind of compensation for our time and money that we spent there.
I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but after all, bad customer service is the norm in this city, and I'm almost certain that the staff simply wanted to go home early and did not care about us.
Not going to visit ever again.

Cafe Nero just know how to deliver a great offer. Perfectly temperature for the coffee. Delicious snacks. Never rushed out and great atmosphere.

Popped in for a coffee to shelter from the rain.
Barista serving came across dismissive and unhelpful when I enquired about the baked cake selection. I put this down to the cafe being quite busy but noted I would avoid in future and go to another Nero's nearby next time. Wouldn't recommend.

Extremely pleasant and smiley staff member who began chatting with me and sharing with me that her family are from a town back home that is very close to where I grew up. Truly lovely, genuine girl who is a credit to this company!!

The coffee was alright, but the tiramisu is a must to try.

My go to coffee shop while shopping in Liverpool. It has the best location on the main shopping street near the lower McDonalds.
A little dark and dingy inside, but it has a good view of the busy street outside.

Lovely coffee & cakes but the toilets were gross ? the tables were also full of dirty dishes. Felt like it wasn?t cared for & grubby.

Had to have my tea redone as the decaf tea tasted stale and unpleasant, I understand they are not used that often...therefore they could use individual envelopes?
Ellen who served me was VERY helpful with my order and very polite. I would even come back again given the situation with my tea...thank you Ellen ????
