Good store but most times when collecting an item it is an opened return. When I ask for an unopened item they try to say they don?t have anymore stock. Ask them to cancel the order and suddenly they have stock.

Manager refused to refund a phone i bought in error just 1 hour before. Because i had opened it to turn it on and check it, everything is still intact. They refused because they like to resell returns. Instead of just returning them for credit with their supplier, or selling them on clearance like normal businesses who arent skint do.If i wouldve ordered this item with any other reputable retailer there wouldn't have been an issue with at least giving me an exchange.

Manager refused refund on faulty goods so I had to ring head office to arrange a collection with Yodel from my home.Unprofessional, rude and completely ignorant on consumer law.Staff are incompetent and unhelpful. Argos should be ashamed of them.Bravo Mr Manager for inconveniencing me and breaking the law. You're a disgrace.

Nikki - worst/rudest/offensive manager I?ve ever met.Nikki - worst/rudest/offensive manager I?ve ever met.At 64 and 66 years old myself and my wife have been shopping for over half a century and neither of us can recall a time where we have both been on the receiving end or observed such diabolical customer service as that which we were subjected to this week by Argos on East PRESCOT Road. The Manger, Nikki, was so rude, offensive (verging on abusive) that at one point myself and my wife looked at each other and laughed. Nikki?s decision not to refund a faulty item purchased two days prior as there was nothing to say we hadn?t stolen it (apart from the fact that she served us and it was on our bank statement) was so ridiculous we could only laugh if not to cry.Having left the store and looked into laws around refunds on faulty items without a receipt but paid for by card we were pleased to find that as the item was less than 30days old, not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose nor as described then we were legally entitled to a refund under the consumer rights acts 2015 and our bank statement was acceptable for proof of the purchase.I confirmed this with citizens advice, Argos webchat, the actual government website with the CRA on it, Argos? own website on two separate areas. I printed out these supporting pieces and returned to store relieved and confident of getting a refund.Unfortunately Nikki was there again and again she refused to do anything. I showed her my printouts and explained what the CRA2015 entitles me to. Conscious that I didn?t want to get in her bad side as I wanted a refund after all, I was at all times polite, amicable, understanding, used positive body language, when she raised her voice, rolled her eyes, called me ignorant, and walked away shaking her head I remained composed and committed to not allowing her to bring the conversation to a stage where she was able to threaten me with security (like previous visit). She refused to abide by the Consumer Rights Act, she advised webchat staff have never stepped foot in store and haven?t got a clue, she stated that citizens advice tell you wha you want to hear, and that the order I was putting and when I advised that the £1800 furniture set I was ordering and waiting to pay for (but minus the £34 refund)would be gladly forfeited as she would not be refunding anything. At one point the sales assistantrant who first served me agreed with me and nodded her head only to b scolded by Nikki and told to be quiet as she was in her first and last week. The poor girl looked like she was going to cry.As I walked out nikkk laughed, said goodbye and good riddance, ?owld pricks?.Sainsburys - I will never use your store again until you get rid of Nikki.

If I could give a his a minus 10 star I would absolutely appalling customer serviceTook a heated maiden back that wasn?t heating up properly so the girl goes in the back comes out 1 min later with the item tellin me she?s tested itThat was very quick to take it out the box an plug it in an put it back in the boxApparently we had to ring manufacturer Monday morning as we wasn?t entitled to a refund even though I only got the item 5 days agoShe asked me did I wanna speak with a manager an I said yes I didSo manager said you need to call the manufacturer as they will probably want evidence like video or pics of not heating back up , I said how will they no , she googled all this information on her phone saying the maiden will heat up depending on environment of the room , In the end we ended up leaving an taking the item to another Argos an no hassle the lady was polite asked for receipt an refunded the moneyI advise to avoid this store for anything as completely useless

Awful customer service , very quietly spoken young man who said he was the manager seemed a bit out of his depth when dealing with my return , the item was bought online but had missing parts , I had proof of order on my phone and wanted to exchange the faulty item and buy something more expensive so you would think this would be easy ?.. no a really rude assistant called Abbey began to repeat her catchphrase over & over ? I understand but it?s our procedure ?.* apparently the procedure is they won?t accept something faulty as it needs to be checked by another team , so just to be aware if your Argos bought items faulty if Abbeys on duty you?re out of luck ! I read the T & Cs to the worried looking manager and Abbey who was on a loop with her catchphrase during this , no where could I find abbeys procedure she kept going on about , so after a lot of going around in circles , the manager went against abbeys set in stone procedure and exchanged faulty item for a non faulty version ?. I asked why can u do this but not allow me to exchange it for something more expensive hence boosting your daily sales ?. Guess what ? it?s procedure ! To turn away sales apparently, anyway I left the awful store went to the Speke store with my non faulty item and exchanged it no problem by a great assistant who was pleasant and really professional, so all in all moral of the story avoid the East prescot rd store and go to Speke these 2 members staff at east prescot rd store are in dire need of some basic people skills training ,

Truly shambolic service from Store Manager Nikki.I visited the store with a faulty product (I spent £350 on a tent which had a broken pole). I explained this to the person who served me who checked with Nikki who had told her to refuse the refund as it was classed as accidental damage. I asked to speak to the manager and Nikki came out, she explained that the it was accidental damage and again refused the refund. She then asked if it had been used, I explained it had been setup on a campsite but we only realised that the pole was broken as this is the last part of the tent to be erected. She then proceeded to open an 8 man tent across the shop floor in some strange attempt to rationalise her decision, explaining that it showed signs of heavy usage as the tent had grass on it (I'm not sure how I could set up the tent without it touching the grass). She then refused to put the tent back in the bag leaving it as it is in the picture.Currently writing a formal complaint specifically about the manager Nikki.

Feel sorry for everyone who has to work under the ?manager? there. I?m not the first to complain about Nicky. She walks away from you and is patronising. Quite funny really, she clearly gets a kick asserting her power. I hope she finds some happiness as something is very obviously lacking in her life. :(

Tried to return a broken trolley after 12 weeks of minor use. Some hideous hatchet faced supervisor comes out from the back and starts robotically repeating 'accidental'wear and tear'misuse. ' It seemed to take it personally that i wanted a refund for a faulty item. Awful customer service. The tiny wizened security even came over and backed the hatchet face up. They all ganged up to try and make the customer look like he is in the wrong. It is a poorly built thirty pound trolley you bunch of morons! Get a life

Shocking customer service, absolutely dreadful. Literally just dumped a clearly faulty item at the till and just walked away rather than continue to deal with them. The rest of argos as bad, no help whatsoever. Have emailed complaint to the head office, not hopeful of any resolution after two days of online chat and call center run around. Avoid.
