I agree with this opinion. Every time I enter this store, the security guard looks at me like I'm a potential thief because he hears my foreign accent. At the same time, he doesn't look at the obvious thieves who, using a baby stroller, hide everything they can fit in there. Why is there CCTV in this store? And in the case described by the Czech, why didn't the security guard agree to watch the recording? He probably wanted to prove himself as a thief hunter, too bad it wasn't in the right place.

I go to this store every day, but what happened to me today... I want to go out and sit somewhere quiet and have a beer. Just before leaving, I cut my finger, nothing major, but the blood started to flow. Of course, I don't have any plasters or bandages at home. I quickly put four beers in my backpack, wrapped my finger in paper and went to your supermarket to buy a plaster or bandage. I know where it could be, so I ran through the store from the door to this section, it takes about 15 seconds, I came to the end of the aisle, I turned back, I didn't find anything, so I leave, I go straight to the checkout where I stand until the lady or the young lady puts her shopping on the checkout belt. My entire stay in the store lasted only 30 seconds. I help the lady take the shopping basket and I leave. As I walk next to the security guard, I shake my head and rather think to myself: they don't have any. The security guard asks me what I'm saying... I answer that they don't have them and show a bandaged finger. The security guard tells me - show me the bag. There were of course four Budweiser beers in it, in the backpack I have on my back and he tells me that I stole it. I tell him: no! Come and look at the camera. He didn't go, he didn't want to go and check it. He called me a thief and I tell him come and check the cameras, I have no problem confronting him. Just come and show me that I stole it. He didn't go, he didn't want to go. He just told me that I have to report the goods I'm bringing into the store to him. I don't know how I should practically do that when I enter through a different entrance than he does. The security guard stands behind the cash registers at the exit. The fact that I'm a foreigner and from the Czech Republic doesn't give him the right to call me a thief or treat me like a thief, without checking the camera system. I wasn't against it and was willing to go with him to the cameras. There is definitely someone sitting at the camera system and the security guard definitely has the ability to contact the person sitting at the monitor.

This branch is a smaller Lidl but has a decent selection of packed sandwiches cooked and fresh meats and all other general groceries. The fresh bakery items are really well presented and plentiful.

The best Lidl in Liverpool hands down. Always clean and full of stock. Usually busy but service is fast. no self service tills which is brilliant. The Lidl app gives great discounts and freebies too. Products are reasonably price and good quality too. Plenty of branded items as well as own brand to choose from and of course there's the middle of lidl. So good that goldie lookin chain wrote a rap about it. Just be careful you don't go in for milk and bread and end up with a kayak and a pressure washer as well. Plenty of parking in the grounds but the trolleys need to be by the entrance imo, instead of in the middle of the car park. (mainly because I'm bone idle)

Check your receipts. I've just been diddled at the Litherland store. I thought it was a bit strange the way I was asked if I wanted a receipt. Unfortunately, I didn't have my reading glasses on. I'll be a lot more careful at that shop in future. I think that the teller meant to steal because something seemed odd in the way he tried to dissuade me from getting a receipt. I was charged for 3 tins of bacon and lentil soup, and I only had 2. He kept on doing multi-buys for 2 of each. I'll go to Aldi from now on.
