Have now been here twice in the past month. The choice of food is really good and the quality is excellent. The staff are the icing on the cake for this venue. So helpful and friendly and really good with young children. Cannot rate it any higher than 5 stars across the board unfortunately. Excellent venue.

Nice food but a restricted menu. Friendly staff and a good relaxed atmosphere. Reasonable prices for Heswall. Try going back in time and have a bottle of milk stout!

Was disappointed with my cappuccino. The worst that I have had in all the years that I have been going. When I pointed it out to a member of staff, he did not offer me a replacement or a refund even. Very disappointed.

Ordered a chicken Katsu burger. Not sure why it was called this as had no resemblance to chicken katsu. Chicken piece was tasteless, tiny and covered half the burger. If the chicken was so small they should have added 2 to cover the entire burger. Honestly the worst burger I?ve ever had. Disappointed to have spent £15 on this.

Great choice for a late breakfast/ brunch. Giving ?Central Perk? vibes. Great atmosphere with tasteful background music.
Very varied menu. The food, the service & the entire venue were top notch. I would highly recommend.

This was honestly one of the most uncomfortable experiences of my life walking in here.
We walked in and waited at the sign that asked us to wait to be seated. We waited for about 5 minutes and I think 3 or 4 staff members walked past, looked at us and didn?t even acknowledge us in any way, no head nod, no ?someone will be with you in a sec? or a ?go grab a seat? (there was plenty) just nothing
Me and my friend give each other the ?this is weird right?? look to each other at least 3 times whilst we were waiting.
Eventually a young lass pointed us to a table but the energy was just sooo weird, so uncomfortable
No one had done anything that we could even say was impolite really but I?ve never been made to feel so unwelcome in a restaurant before.
We didn?t even sit down before my friend said ?do you want to go? and I was like ?absolutely!?
I?ve never wanted to get out of a place so fast before
Think I?ll stick to Marino?s from now on

It's great to find somewhere with so much choice if you have food intolerances/ allergies.The staff know their stuff and prices are reasonable.

Lovely chilled out venue.
Always plenty of seats, but never empty -full of atmosphere.
Have been twice in a week, first for a full fry up, second for buttermilk pancakes.. Both were excellent.
And let's not forget to mention the freshly squeezed orange juice that's so so yummy!
Highly recommend.

Went in here as we had been turned away from The Prense Well. So glad thisbhappenes! We were welcomed with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food was beautiful and ery good value for money. We will be back - first time here and we were very impressed. Celebrating a family birthday here is well worth it.
Kid-friendliness: Colouring crayons and sheets available. Kids meals were very good.
Wheelchair accessibility: Excellent provision

Sadly, on this visit, 3rd, January, the Otto Lounge front of house were not the usual welcoming and attentive staff.
Although the place was busy, there were a few vacant tables but we were told to "We're busy, come back in 20 minutes". Not the usual welcome we have received on our numerous prior visits. Has there been a change of management?
Perhaps an explanation to us that there may be a wait for food, but an offer to grab a drink from the bar would have been better? Not content with hanging around in freezing temperatures, we popped into the competition across the road. Otto, you can do better.

Called in for coffee, no problem although near lunch time . Made welcome and served promptly , lovely relaxed atmosphere and good mix of people also dog friendly. Eclectic decor and local feel while part of national company. Recommend .
Parking: Heswall parking is available free at Tesco or pay at Council car park by bus station. Street parking is available but usually a challenge.

Always choose Otto when want to eat in Heswall.
Here is a couple of reasons:
- it?s dog friendly!
- Huge Gluten free and vegan menus. People with intolerances/allergies will find something. Stuff is very helpful when choosing something safe.
- Great atmosphere. Always according to the season.
Dietary restrictions: Most of the food has a gluten free alternative and a quite big Vegan menu. Generally more options than in other places. With several of mine intolerances it was easy to chose and a lot of options
