Kid-friendliness: Ok for kids

Mother?s Day and it wasn?t busy, which may be due to the atmosphere. There were staff around the bar, laughing and chuckling rather than serving the customers.
The quality of the food was OK but the flagship Yorkshire puddings were very poor.
Overall, probably one of the worst Toby experiences I have had however I?ve been here twice previously and it was fine, hence three stars.
Hopefully, they?ll take this on the chin and try and improve.

We had to wait ages in a long queue for our meal. The poor man carving the meat was run off his feet!
Despite the head chef coming
Out a number of times and not picking up on the problem.
I would not recommend it.
When we finally got back to the table my wife's pot of tea was cold.

Was very busy. Understandable on a Sunday. When we walked in the man on the desk, didn't even look up, and ignored us for a minute then said Name?! Was seen to a table in the smallest corner with a fireplace right behind one of the chairs, so it was a struggle to get up and down to food and drink stations. The server, which I assume was per area, was very busy, as there was a large table in the area too. Took a while to get her attention for the bill, but she was very polite. Won't be rushing back to this one.

The staff and venue are always good. The food was very disappointing on this visit. The roast potatoes were a cross between baked potatoes and roast potatoes. Food was not as hot as on our 2 previous visits.
Parking: Sometimes very few spaces

The last couple of times I visited the vegetables were below par, especially the sprouts, and the roast potatoes slightly undertook.

It is a Toby carvery, but it is the nicest one I?ve ever been to. Good carvery, particularly the turkey. Even better at 50% off for Black Friday. Lovely staff, nice decor and atmosphere.

Staff is very helpful and friendly. We had a family gathering to celebrate Mum/Nanna's/ Great Nanna's 88th Birthday. We did book in advance as there were 11 of us, no problem with seating us together, and they were able to accommodate all dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a wonderful evening
Wheelchair accessibility: I use a wheelchair, and even though the restaurant was busy, there was enough room for me move about without disturbing other dinners.
