It was a nice experience. We went at a busy time but I can honestly say that the service and food were very good. Would definitely recommend it.
Parking: It is a paid parking lot, but people using the Freshfield can enter their car registration on entering the pub to receive free parking.

The food was wonderful (the beef cheek special was particularly good), and the staff were amazing - special thanks to Josh for being so friendly and helpful (particularly when my mum was asking so many questions!)
Definitely the nicest pub restaurant in Formby in my opinion.

We went for a Sunday roast and we had 2 adults and 2 children's meals the vegetables on the children's meals ie cabbage was very undercooked and unable to eat.

Thank you to Kate and the whole team for yesterday. You made approximately 60 people so very welcome and everyone complimented the food. Highly recommend without hesitation. Great venue, perfect area/room at the back for a private function up to approx 60 people. However, it was the staff that were the best! Brilliant! Thanks again, Sally x

Possibly the worst and most depressing traditional turkey dinner I have ever had! Roast potatoes were non-existent, I had the equivalent to maybe half a potato on my plate. Turkey was drier than the sole of my shoe and again a real stingy saving of turkey to go with the stingy serving of roast potatoes. Carrots were overcooked and looked like a severed small toe placed on the plate. All in all a pathetic turkey roast dinner for a ridiculous price sorted out. Green king.

I was meeting friends for lunch. The pub was a great meeting place with plenty of large tables to accommodate us wherever we decided to sit.
Everyone enjoyed their meals and the portion sizes were very generous. Unfortunately my chicken salad was covered in a red sauce which I thought was red pepper but it was more like a chipotle sauce and was far too hot to enjoy. In hindsight, I should have taken it back, but with so many of us chatting away, I thought I had misread the menu and it was my mistake. It wasn't until I couldn't eat any more, as my mouth was on fire, did I ask to look at the menu.
I did mention to the staff when they were clearing the table about the hot sauce and they were extremely apologetic and said I should've brought it back. It was my fault as I would've been able to eat it if I had. If I go again, I'll check the sauce and make sure it's edible.
Lovely staff though, I must add.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp from the carpark making it accessible for a wheelchair

Was hoping for a welcome with our dogs yesterday but the set-aside dog area was full ...of people that didn't have dogs. That's at least £100 pounds-worth of business you lost. We went home to Macclesfield.

parking your car here can cost you 100 pounds so beware of the need to register your car on entry.
