Something fishy going on at the Bromborough branch: Today i went in to look for some Salomon Alphacross trail shoes. The website had the version 4's at £88. I go the the wall display and they have the wall plaque, version 4's £88. But the shoe there is the version 3. No sign of the v4 anywhere.I ask the staff lady why is it different? She says the website and store are different stock, they don't have the v4. I decide not to buy and leave it.So, I check the website again when I get home and guess what, the version 3 is £70. So what's going on, Bromborough? Why are you advertising the v3 as a v4 at the higher price, since the staff already know that the v4 isn't available in store???Edit: as I was in urgent need of a new pair of these, I ordered the £88 "v4s" off the website, which is showing the v4 style of shoe. I paid for next day delivery, £8.So guess what I received.... Yep, the v3 shoes. I was absolutely fuming!! Even the box sticker says Alphacross 3 gtx. I can't even be bothered returning or complaining about them as I know that customer services are a right shower of....

I went today to buy a pAir of shoes for my bf and the shop assistant was really helpful blabla and then i ask for a shoes they told me they have the size..ok good..we told each other maybe 3-4 times it's the number 9...on the till they've put the number 10 ..the cashier said yes it's 9..i went home WITH A TODLER who is not easy to deal with and then i seen it's number 10. My partner whent back right away and they said THEY HAVEN'T GOT NUMBER 9. So they just wanted to sell a wrong number for me. He seen i struggle with a toddler...when i went out he didn't even look at me anymore just said a bye...i had to understand right away why but i didn't.. .shame on you guys!!!!!

If I could give minus stars I would. What a absolute joke of a establishment, Went in to return a pair of shorts that where not wanted to be told they don't have a refund policy and never have.I would understand a no refund policy on goods that had no labels and a receipt but a no refund on anything unless its faulty is stupid.I was told by a snotty teenager that I could not return the shorts ( which still had all the labels) that they only offer exchange or credit note. Would definitely not recommend anyone who understands the value of money in these financially tough times to shop here.Absolutely disgraceful practice by a company.

No longer selling trainers , ie any decent ones all are now mainly own brand ,lonsdale, slazenger ,Just one big mis mash of brands they own ie game computer games etc .No longer sports shop .

Waited 10 minutes to get a pair of trainers , no one about, so seen a female member of staff trying to look busy sliding clothes up an down a rail, I asked her for help but she didn't even acknowledge me and just got on the radio saying anyone on trainers. I went the 5 steps back to the Nike trainers and waited another 5 minutes but nobody came. I gave up and kept my £100 and spent it in JD. This store needs a rethink and redeploy people to the areas people need help like the trainers where you do need help getting sizes from the back. Looking at reviews I'm not the only one unhappy.

It's Sport Direct, so there aren't quite enough staff, it's all a bit of a jumble sale and, well it is what it is. That said, once available the staff are polite and efficient, there are bargains to be found and I can usually find a version of what I need.

Called numerous times between 10am and 3pm on Friday, not one call answered! Although, you go into the store and staff are very helpful and polite! Strange. Answer the phone and you'd get 5 stars.
