Belated birthday lunch with a friend only issue reservation was done on line received confirmation email upon arrival they didn't have the booking but managed to find seats for us

The food was good. Nice selection of roasts gravy awful. The roast potatoes were greatly improved by the addition of beef dripping. Be warned if you want to have a few ales before you eat: go somewhere else. This establishment has no ale. After I posted the above I received a reply from management assuring me there would be real ales after the refurb. Not I am afraid and the beer engines have been removed. So still going elsewhere for pre lunch drinks which because of taxi fares reduces the frequency with which we can visit this venue.
I will say that my wife and I like the refurb in general.

Restaurant newly reopened, sadly their customer service still terrible. Booked a table for 4 people and because we turned up with a toddler we?re turned away or told having to wait another 20-25 minutes for a table. We had pre-booked the table whereas people that have just walked in will now be prioritised. Apparently cannot accommodate popping a high chair at the end of a table. Many other venues don?t have this problem. No apology just the Manager Emma arguing that we had to book for 5 persons or be put to the back of the queue of people that hadn?t booked. Also far too many people queue almost out the door for food. Would advise not to bother wasting time here

Had a Breakfast after the refurbishment.Pros : The place now looks lovely. Cons : Now more expensive and they use smaller plates! Opened up three minutes late, no eggs and the toast machine didn't work.

My son and I are frequent visitors to the Toby we have been waiting for them to open since the refurb today the 28 th September was our first time back in there.Our table was ready for us the service excellent and the staff great the food fantastic as always pure magic,always very nice friendly staff welcoming we will continue to go for our delicious meals thank you everyone a photo to follow next week.
Parking: My son and I have always been able to park maybe it?s the time we go
Wheelchair accessibility: I don?t have a wheelchair but a walker and there is plenty of room
