DO NOT GO HERE zero stars for everything the food is vile I don't know how the can serve it to human beings we went in one person in a wheel chair and got no help off staff at all with the door so started off very badly we went to get are food at first glance it looked OK we started with some ribs and seaweed ribs where just about edible very bland in taste so we went to get mains we tried a bit of everything it was all vile we left are plates full of food and went to speak to the girl on the desk she asked if everything was OK I replied not at all food is vile the chicken was raw she replied is that your first time trying Chinese food I replied saying your giving Chinese food a bad reputation and I would not feed that to my dog I will pay for the ribs and that's it she never said sorry or anything then she then tried to charge us full price I said no I will pay for the ribs and that's it so I payed which I was really annoyed tbh because I really didn't want to anyway we came out and four other customers came out and said exactly the same saying food was vile how there still open I don't know if you like this place and been before I would think about your health DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to become ill Vile vile vile

Service is always great. Food isn't always hot but you get what you pay for I guess. Usually very quiet and if you want anything, just ask and they'll get it.

My Sun Ying review -
Greeted as we entered the establishment by the amiable hostess, we were shown to our table. The requested, ice cold drinks are placed on the table in a pleasant, efficient manner. Before a water droplet has time to meander aimlessly down the side of my glass, I have headed to the broth chauldron to help myself to the delicious hot and sour bisque.
With stunning fineness I ladle a trio of measures into a porcelain receptacle and transport it back to the platform to which we were decreed upon entry. I sit and begin the delicate task of transferring the seasoned liquid to my mouth utilising a sophisticated, concave scoop, taking care not to overbrim and spoil my attire. On completion of my endeavour I gently tend to the corners of my mouth using one of the eatery's complimentary serviettes.
Ready for second helpings I saunter toward the buffet area to be greeted by what can only be described as a smorgasbord of warm, oriental extravagance. Succulent meats marinating in exotic sauces. Flour, salt and eggs noodled and seasoned with eastern flavours. Cantonese omeletted eggs containing bean sprouts, mushrooms and peas, traditionally dubbed Fu young. Soy sauce flavoured rice prepared in a wok with meats, peas and sea creatures. Thin pastries containing mixed spring vegetables. Shallow fried, toasted bread, smothered in a paste of prawns, garlic, ginger, egg white, sugar and soy sauce and sprinkled with sesame seeds. Finally, I lift the lid of the final steamer pan to be met by the humble Great British chip!
I take a salver from a discreetly hidden pile and begin to load it with sumptuous, savoury delights, taking care not to overburden my platter, and again return to our appointed table.
As I sample the wares before me my mind cannot help but be taken to an imaginary mandarin feast. Where I would be the guest of honour to some wealthy, government bureaucrat during the high Ming dynasty.
I am shook from my reverie by the sound of a half chewed barbequed rib bone hitting crockery, reminding me that it's time for dessert.
I enter the sweet room and bypass the jellies, fruit and cakes and head straight for my favourite, ice cream!
It soon becomes apparent that I will not be sampling my chosen last course due to some impertinent imp leaving a bogey on the vanilla ice cream scoop.
To summarise, Sun Ying is good value for money but I wouldn't bother with a tuxedo, and I certainly wouldn't bother with the ice cream.

Great All you can Eat literally the Best in Birkenhead, Great Value for Money been here many Times with family went today & lovely Yan on the bar knew what Drinks we wanted on our Table which was nice he remembers us & what we like to drink which was a nice touch. All the other staff our lovely too.
Also have Disabled access & Toilets 5??
Kid-friendliness: Has High chairs for kids.
Wheelchair accessibility: accessible throughout & has Disabled Toilets.

I went in as a secret reviewer after signing up online this is what happened. After watching when others went in I noticed groups and people by themselves were sat down immediately, had their drinks ordered and got their food. When I entered the establishment I was forced to pay first then pointed over to where I should sit. The food isn't the best quality but is okay given the area. You could tell it had been sitting there a while while other things like the duck and rice and noodles dishes were brought out often. In my experience the staff wasn't too friendly but they were to others.Wheelchair accessibility: There was no steps on the entrance.
