Basic rooms but very clean. Stayed two nights and ate dinner first night. Large choice on the menu and pub very busy for mid week. A 10 minute walk to metro and into liverpool. Ideal for us.

Ate at Royal Oak for lunch yesterday .
Great food and fantastic staff who made us feel more than welcome , were chatty and checked if everything was ok with our meal .

Clean room with comfortable beds. Tea and coffee station in the room.
Breakfast service was good with both hot and cold options.
We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here due to the proximity of an event we were attending. The hotel is in desperate need of a revamp.
The bath is stained and none of the taps work properly, leaving you to find a towel so you can get the purchase to turn them on/off fully.
The bedroom has sockets that are no where near the bed, so if you?re trying to charge a phone overnight (and still need it near you, you require a longer cable which thankfully I always travel with).
The whole set up is very dated and I paid less for more in London recently.
That said, the staff were very nice and accommodating and I?d probably stay here again (but again, only due to the proximity of where I need to be).

Highly recommended for the tired and weary!
I cleared my house in Bromborough out on Sunday the 16th of March, ready to move on Monday the 17th. I had intended to sleep over in the house despite having no bed. Having then realised I was absolutely exhausted and wanted a hot bath, I booked in the Premier Inn, Royal Oak, Bromborough that morning.
When I arrived, Jan at reception couldn't find me on the system and it turned out that in my tiredness I had booked a Sunday in October! Jan help me to sort out a room and I've never been so glad to see a bed and a bath. She was really helpful and very patient with me which was much appreciated. I don't think I've ever slept so well! There was a match on so the pub was quite full but the atmosphere was really family friendly though I didn't eat there myself.
The new booking included breakfast which Jan had pointed out to me which again I was grateful for because I was so tired I wouldn't have noticed. I was served by Adeane who was really lovely and wrapped up a breakfast wrap for me to take away. These are lovely little memories for me to take away from living here.
I'm looking forward to my impromptu stay in October! Highly recommend this as a budget hotel. I even had a fab view of the cross which was nice as I'll be leaving the area today.
