Beautiful food, linguine sorrento highly recommended, no complaints about all three meals - first time we?ve been here even though people have been recommending it to us for 25+ years.

Staff were lovely, friendly and quick!
Unfortunately a group came in who?d had a few too many, but they were dealt with quickly, and I?m sure it was an unfortunate one off which happened to be on our first visit. Staff were professional and so apologetic even though it was out of their control.

Such a lovely quaint traditional Italian restaurant. Fit us in at late notice. Delicious pizza and pork followed by tiramisu. Service was friendly and polite throughout and didn?t rush us even though they had a big wedding party coming in afterwards. Will definitely be back!

We had a pre booked table for 18 people, we also pre ordered the food. When we arrived we weren't seated together, although we could have had 3 tables along the back wall. The lady was flustered taking the drinks order, told my friend off for moving tables. The food was o.k nothing really special, 2 of the group had to eat and run, due to child care issues, The lady wouldn't let them pay, even though they had cash, and the correct amount. She insisted on the bill all being put on 1 card, which was nearly £400, when we said we weren't told this, she said to go to the garage and get cash out. Half the group left and went to the garage but the cash machine was empty. One of the group agreed to put the bill on her card, then everyone had to pay her by bank transfer or cash.What an absolute waff, and by now the whole atmosphere was ruined. The ladies attitude was awful and what could have been a lovely night was ruined, and ended up being quite stressful. That is 18 customers who all said we won't be going back.

Booking prior to the eve was helpful and friendly however please state cash only or payment on one card only for groups .
Food was delicious and can?t knock it at all however the service from the more mature server was awful . Rude , unhelpful and absolutely off putting . I know over the years her reputation has put people off as she js always awkward . Shame as last 3 visits we have had lovely servers , really friendly and helpful but sadly this lady but a damper on the evening and has put us off returning . We felt we were a burden from minute we arrived , no way to run a business . Such a shame as food and the other members of staff are great .

We booked for 18 people for a retirement. We pre ordered the food. The lady was quite rude, telling people not to move the tables. We were not all sat together,even thought we could have all sat along the back wall 3 tables of 6 people. The food was o.k overpriced tho. 2 of the ladies had to eat and go due to childcare, she wouldn't let them pay she wanted all the money putting on 1 card. Some people did not have cash, so she told them to go to the garage and with draw cash out of the machine. The machine was empty, one lady paid the bill on her card nearly £400 pound then we all had to pay her. The atmosphere in there was awful, and only made worse by the owners attitude. That's the last time we will go there. She just lost 18 customers.

First time trying this lovely little restaurant tonight, managed to get a last minute booking the night before. Been driving past this place since I was a kid, but the other half convinced me this is where he wanted to go for date night. The service was fantastic all the staff were warm and welcoming despite it being busy and service was at a nice pace for our evening. Food came out lovely, hot and fresh and as someone who isn't a massive lover of Italian food, I was really taken aback by how much I enjoyed every dish. We had the Calamari and gamberoni alla griglia to start, followed by the capricciosa pizza and the tagliatelle angelo. I would have like a bit more chilli in the pasta dish but it was tasty just as it was. Will definitely be back!

Perhaps it was because of it being a Sunday night and the snow has grinded everything to a halt, so maybe take this next point with a pinch of salt: The restaurant was dead and it was only me and the wife there unfortunately.
However, the atmosphere was helped by the fact that the background music was really suited to the place. Plus, you cannot fault the staff; so friendly, attentive and came with their menu recommendations.
That said, considering what I would deem as expensive pricing, the food didn't meet that valuation. I ordered the Maccheroni Tricolore, my wife the pizza and I kid you not, they both came out before we barely even took a sip of our drinks. Pizza, fine, I believe they're quickly cooked. But the Maccheroni Tricolore must have been nuked in the microwave, surely?
It was alright overall, but certainly not worth what we paid. That said, I will go back for a second attempt and I'll happily amend my review if things improve the next time we visit.
