It's been about 13 years since we visited this pub and its welcome hasn't changed.
Friendly staff and landlord make the visit a pleasant experience.
Didn't eat there this time around but thoroughly enjoyed a lunchtime drink here following a long walk.

We booked an early evening meal, as it was my husband's birthday. We hadn't been there before, so thought we'd give it a try. The menu is good, plenty of choice. Reasonably priced. There was also a lower cost for some sweets, if you had a half serving, which suited us, as you don't really need a large sweet, after a meal. The staff were all friendly, and my husband even got a free drink, with it being his birthday! Lovely atmosphere, even most of the guests were friendly and said hello. We will definitely go there again, and we would recommend it to others.

What a truly wonderful Inn, such a genuine friendly welcome.
The food is outstandingly good proper home cooked tasty quality delicious food.
The menu is great.
It shows how great this Inn is that the locals drink and eat here.
The atmosphere was smashing.

Passed this pub many times and as it looked so cute and oldy worldy so wanted to visit, we had Sunday lunch and it was so tasty and inside is like stepping back in time, staff were friendly and attentive, highly recommend.

Welcoming and friendly. Dropped in on passing, so no reservation but was able to get table for 2 on Saturday evening so would say book if more ppl.
Varried dishes on menu, homemade ?
What we ordered was tasty and value for money.
Definitely will be going back.

Passed this pub some years ago but never visited.
Was not disappointed tonight when visiting with family. Cod in cheese sauce with prawns, special Thai red curry (salmon & prawn). With a children?s meal and chicken goujons. Food excellent along with the service and lovely atmosphere.

We enjoyed dining at this traditional country inn. The food and service was very good and the pub was very homely with log fires. Our visit was mid week and just after a Bank Holiday so it was quiet hence the lower rating for atmosphere.

Fabulous friendly pub with wonderful food. The landlady was so accomodating, we changed our booking from 4 plus a baby to 9 plus a baby and nothing was too much of a problem. The home made pies are delicious made by her son, and the puddings are enormous and you must save space to enjoy one. We stayed overnight in our motorhome and felt very safe and secure.
