Me and my friends came in for a few beers on Saturday night we ended up eating I had garlic paprika fries they were out of this world very taste and the pizzas looked great!! Would 100% recommend this to anyone

My one bite of the paprika loaded fries had to be spat straight out...not sure how you make paprika and mayo taste that disgusting but the Black Bull chef managed. His response, sorry it's not to your taste! He wasn't even prepared to check what he was serving to see if it was off. Buyer beware

Called in here following viewing two new build sites. Hoping for a drink and sandwich.
The pub looked really nice from the outside, full of character. What a disappointment inside. Devoid of any atmosphere, reminded me of a working man?s club. Picked up a menu to be informed by the ?barman? that they had closed for food, 2 pm. It was 3 minutes past! We only want a sandwich - no closed?. Perhaps he was the landlord but, if he was an employee, I would not be happy.
We left without buying a large wine or a beer.
Pleased we did not see any houses we liked as I would not fancy living in a village with just this pub to frequent.

We held a birthday party in the newly built outside area. The service we received was amazing from the created BBQ menu by chef which was very tasty and enjoyed by all, to the helpful bar staff on the day and the friendly atmosphere they created for our family and friend. A big thank you to you all for making my husbands birthday a success without all the people involved it would not have run smoothly as it did.

Organised my 40th Birthday party in their newly set up outside seating area. Also arranged for them to cook a selection of BBQ food for the 40 ish guest list. The team were responsive through FB Messenger to help get everything organised. On the day they arranged for one of their bar staff to come out periodically for drinks orders, allowing the party members to stay together. They set up all the food catering area and cooked all the food in front of us, allowing us all to eat our fill. Hot Dogs, burgers, koftas, chicken pieces and a range of salads. All the guests highlighted how delicious the food was and the outside seating area gave us to space we wanted to the adults and children alike. Would heartily recommend this place to all.

Went to NCC show had a food in the pub was very nice first time had roast potatoes and gravy with a cheese and onion baguette was lovely.

Sunday Lunch today,Garlic mushroom bruchetta the best l have tasted in a longtime, mains,lamb shank sitting on a bed of mash potatoe, roast potatoes, parsnips, on the side ,carrots,green beans and leeks, also a jug of delicious gravy, soh, had scampi, chips and peas, both neals absolutely delicious, not a thing we could fault, service excellent. We only arrived in the village this week so it was our first visit and rest assured it will not be our last.

Nice pub shame they weren?t serving food throughout the day during the bank holiday weekend. Turned up early afternoon and they had stopped serving food for 2-3 hours I believe. Such a shame.

We held a family birthday party and had a buffet provided. Great communication, great food, so accommodating. Served food for allergies separately without being asked once we?d established what was required. The pub was so busy with other customers but we still got excellent service. Buffet food was nicer than we?d expected and reasonable price. 100% recommended

Really friendly pub. Shows all sports. We aren't locals and were made to feel welcome :). Service is quick and paninis and hand cooked chips were perfect for lunch.
