Visited today 03/09/25. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was very quick to arrive, the fish and chips were the best we have had for a long time , we will visit again very soon.

I would highly recommend this pub to any who like quality food. The chef here is very talented, and its well worth the 58mile round trip visit just to try the lamb n mint pie... sooo good. Most definitely will be returning.

I've had two meals with the family since the pub has changed hands and I shall be back for more. We all chose from their selection of pies, between us we tried game pie, steak, chicken and mushroom, thai green curry pie and fish pie. Everyone spoke very highly of them and how tasty they were. The staff were friendly and attentive and the experience was great overall. We will return.

Having just changed hands it's going through a transition period. The first thing, for me, was that there was a decent pint to start off with. Always a good reason to return.
There was 4 of us dining in the dining room. We were the only ones in that evening but didn't feel to remote as you could still hear the chatter from the bar.
We all had different things off the menu. 4 empty plates at the end. The food was good honest pub grub. No complaints from any of us. The only small issue was that being the only ones in was that we had to get up and go to the bar to order more drinks which wasn't the end of the world but just a bit inconvenient.
Would definitely recommend and hopefully we will return soon.

On my way home today, I was incredibly fortunate to call into the recently reopened ?nags head? in wooton. Upon arrival service was so friendly and professional, and the chicken burger I had was to die for. It was great to chat with Tom, the new landlord and chef, who clearly takes great pride and care in his work as a pub owner. The burger went down great with a pint of inch?s, too!

We called in for sunday carvery
Great food would certainly go again , tables a bit close together though, had cutlery dark at sid of me and staff has to lean past to access,and when lady at next table wanted to get out she had to squeeze through the gap between tables
