Walked over from Fitties beach with the dog fir a half way stop and glad we did. Great home cooked food with a varied menu and portion sizes offering good value. Dog friendly inside and out.

This is a traditional country pub, where you can talk to locals, however the big attraction is the quality of food served. Treat yourself to what I believe are the best haddock and chips in the area, well worth the short journey if you live in Grimsby or are on holiday in Cleethorpes. There are several other meals on the menu and the Landlord certainly knows how to look after his beer. Ample parking - Brilliant Tony Grimsby

We stopped for a pint and lunch. The seafood salad which is in the Specials Menu in the picture was a healthy portion and delicious.

Lovely country pub, food was served quickly and with generous portions, it was hot and delicious, I had the BLT in Ciabatta with chips, and salad, my daughter and her bf enjoyed their burgers. The pub had been updated since my last visit and it looks great, more open but still cosy. Friendly and polite staff, and our dogs enjoyed the treats on offer. Will definitely be back soon and more so in the colder months to enjoy the log fire.

The food was amazing...
I've had a few Steak and Ale pies in my time on this planet but this one was one of the best.
The Crown and Anchor was recommended to us by a stranger on the beach front. So whoever you were THANK YOU !!
My wife had the chicken skewers which I tried a little with the sweet chilli dressing, and they were also delicious.
The children had fresh chicken "chunks" and they didn't seem shop bought.
The "home made" chips were in my mind like chips from a chip shop, but my wife said no, they were definitely home made.
Either way, great portion size, great quality, £60.00 approx including drinks, (3 soft drinks and a cup of tea). The whole family thought it was well worth it.
The owners came out to speak to my boys, and engaged with us ...
Just great, really great I'd not hesitate in returning for food to try the other dishes (and hopefully have room this time for pudding !!).

We visited the Crown and Anchor 3 times this past week, walking along the coast path from our accommodation in Humberston Fitties. Twice for lunch and once for a drink. The food was excellent as was the service and the staff were very welcoming. Would heartily recommend a visit for a meal or just a pint of Sharp's cider sat in the suntrap front garden.
